To Make A Balance
Just a few days ago, I wrote about the Art of Doing Nothing based on my personal experiences. It's been a severe concern for me, hampering everything in my day-to-day life. So to tackle that, I got some ninja technique that works for me. Actually, I tried these in the past as well, and thought of sharing in sequence to the previous one.
I do enjoy movies and TV series a lot; there used to be a time when it was on my daily checklist. Would maintain a watchlist and go for one each and every day. Now priorities have changed, and life is shaping the daily routine in that rhythm. Got lots of stuff that I must do within the deadlines and they get done somehow, but the main concerm are with the medium to low priority stuff that never comes to that ongoing state and gets lost in the middle or blocked.
So to keep those tasks ongoing and not stuck in the midway i got an idea that worked for me pretty well. What's that? Watch TV series in between your priority tasks. You might be like, "Really?" and yes, I do this very often for myself.

What's the method?
Pick a suitable TV series, maybe an Anime that you would watch in general. So I start an episode from the TV series, and after completing this, I go back to my actual tasks, productive stuff. It's like a loop with an IF condition. If I make progress in the productive or monotonous task, I will watch an episode from the TV series, it could be an anime or whatever, and then go back to the task, and then again to the next episode. Can't fall for the trap of watching multiple episodes at once, which happened during the case of Vinland Saga, where I kept watching one after another, no harm if we could cover up the tasks at some other time to fulfill the request.
This is like a treat to myself. At the same time, I am doing my work and also watching the anime/TV series slowly and steadily, and that's what I'm planning for as well. its always better late than never. In this way, I'm never drowned in watching movies and TV series, letting the pending tasks rot, nor am I dived into tasks so much that I end up getting burned out. So I'm kinda making a balance to avoid both cases and be in a win-win situation.
So yeah, this is one of the ways to tackle the piles of tasks without getting lost or burned out. Also, not being too hard on me rsther treating myself with some entertainment in intervals. Serving me well, do try it out if you got the scope to do so.
