Greetings to everyone. Today I am going to talk about a movie that left a deep uneasiness in my head for a long time after watching it. We watch many thriller movies where only fights or revenge are shown, but 180 felt a little different to me. Because here the helplessness, anger, frustration and fire of revenge within a father are shown very realistically.

The beginning of the movie was progressing very normally. It seemed like a normal family life was being shown. But suddenly after a road rage incident, the whole story took a complete turn. In that incident, the son of the main character Jack was seriously injured, and from there the real dark side of the movie begins. I was also very angry while watching the whole incident. Because this movie showed very well how much a father can change when his child's life is at stake in front of him.

The way Prince Grootboom played the role of Jack was really powerful. The disappointment in his eyes and the feelings of a broken man were very clearly understood. In some scenes, he spoke very little, but his facial expressions conveyed everything. I especially found the hospital scenes very emotional.

I also liked Noxolo Dlamini's character. She was trying to maintain a balance throughout the movie. When Jack was slowly going blind on the path of revenge, her character seemed to remind me of reality. The tension shown in their relationship felt very natural.

Another person who needs to be mentioned separately is Warren Masemola. His presence really created a tension on the screen. Also, Desmond Dube, Fana Mokoena, Danica De La Rey Jones—all acted very well according to their characters. I liked that the movie did not try to make any character an extra hero. Everyone was shown very realistically.

The strongest aspect of the movie was its atmosphere. There was an uncomfortable tension throughout. It felt like something bad could happen at any moment. The background music also enhanced that feeling. There was complete silence in some scenes, and that silence made the scenes even heavier.

However, I personally felt one thing—the movie moved too slowly at times. In some places, it felt like it could have been shortened a bit. But in the end, the way the story moved through emotion and revenge kept me going.

Another thing that kept coming to my mind—does revenge really give people peace? Because the further Jack moved forward, the more broken he felt. He was not only losing others, he was also losing himself. This aspect seemed to me to be the deepest part of the movie.

Director Alex Yazbek tried to show the whole story in a very dark but humane way. I also liked the visuals of the movie. The lighting, location, and camera work made the whole atmosphere very real.

Overall, 180 is a thriller for me that is not just about action or revenge, but also the story of a father's mental breakdown. While watching it, I not only saw the story, but also felt a person slowly disappearing into the darkness.

For those who like to watch slow but emotional thrillers, this movie will not be bad. Especially for those who like stories where human anger, pain and emotions are realistically shown, 180 will seem like a much more emotional movie.

Your review of this film is exceptionally well-written. Not only do you present the story with thoughtful insights, but you also offer an analysis of various cinematic aspects, with a particular focus on the performances. Best regards, @mirzaiqi.
