Star Trek: Discovery Season 1, Episode 13, Review
How are you all?
Today I am going to share with you my feelings about the 13th episode of the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. The way the story stopped at an exciting place at the end of the previous episode, I honestly couldn't wait to watch the next episode. And since this episode started, I feel like I made the right decision.

The situation was completely unstable from the beginning of the episode. The power game in the Mirror Universe has reached a point where no one can be fully trusted. The character of Lorca in particular surprised me the most. When the true intentions of the person I had seen so far as a strong and experienced captain became clear, I rediscovered the character.

In Lorca's eyes, I saw not only the greed for power, but also a kind of ambition that has been accumulating for a long time. He is not willing to accept any boundaries to get what he wants. That point is very clearly revealed in every dialogue and decision he makes.
On the other hand, Michael Burnham's situation also made me think. Because he finds himself in a situation where there is a big risk behind every decision. When a person is stuck between his own morality and reality, how difficult it can be for him to find the right path, is shown through Burnham.

Something must be said about Empress Georgiou. The character is as scary as it is interesting. A different feeling is created when her presence appears on the screen. The most interesting thing is that one cannot completely hate her nor can one completely support her. This dual feeling is what makes the character seem more real to me.

Among the other members of Discovery, I also liked Saru separately. The change I saw in her after taking on the responsibility is really commendable. Although she seemed a bit hesitant in many previous episodes, she is shown to be much more confident here.
Stamets' parts also seemed quite important to me. The events surrounding the Mycelial Network not only moved the story forward, but also laid an important foundation for the future of the entire series.

The biggest strength of this episode was its pacing. Nothing felt redundant. As soon as one scene ended, the desire to watch the next one was building. Especially the events towards the end moved so quickly and dramatically that there was no chance to take my eyes off it.
And the last few minutes...
To be honest, I was not at all prepared for that ending.
Just when it seemed like everything was finally falling into place, the story took a turn that left me stunned for a few seconds. At that moment, there was only one question in my mind—what is going to happen next?
Personally, I would call this episode one of the best episodes of the entire first season. There is action, there is emotion, there is character development, and most importantly—it has the ability to surprise the viewer.
My rating: 9.5/10
After watching this episode, I couldn't wait any longer and immediately started the next episode. Because the story ended at a point where it's really hard to stop the curiosity.
Thank you everyone. I'm ending today's review here. See you again with a new episode to share my personal feelings and experiences.
