My opinion about Split Movie -(ESP/ENG)-

Hoy les hablaré un poco de la película Split o Fragmentado en español. Fue lanzada en el año 2017 bajo la dirección de M. Night Shyamalan, y contó con los actores James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jessica Sula, Haley Lu Richardson y Betty Buckley. Información tomada de la vieja confiable Wikipedia.

La película se centra en un hombre llamado Kevin el cual presenta una enfermedad mental llamada trastorno de identidad disociativo, en su mente viven en principio 23 personalidades y al final 24. Cada una de sus personalidades es independiente y pueden llegar a conversar entre ellas, hay una escena donde dos de ellas planean un asunto y hablan en tre si como si fueran dos personas diferentes.

Kevin, la personalidad original esta inconsciente, digamos que está en una especie de coma, y las personalidades que residen en su mente tienen el completo y total control de su cuerpo. Algunas de ellas son muy talentosas y responsables, una de ellas es un niño de 9 años, otra es una mujer muy inteligente pero fría y calculadora, otra es un hombre con trastorno obsesivo compulsivo de limpieza y orden. El plan de estos es entregar a la personalidad 24, próxima a nacer, unas mujeres jóvenes en sacrificio que nunca hayan sufrido en la vida, para ellos son algo así como impuras, lo cual en cierto modo es contradictorio porque entregaran impuras como sacrificio cuando lo normal es algo puro, pero bueno yo no sé de sacrificios y no puedo opinar mucho sobre eso.

Una de las personalidades que habitan en el cuerpo de Kevin llamada Dennis, secuestra a tres chicas, originalmente la idea era secuestrar a dos chicas, pero como había una tercera también se la llevó. Estas chicas habían sido estudiadas por mucho tiempo por Dennis y llegó a la conclusión que eran impuras y serían dadas en sacrificio a la Bestia.

Kevin tiene una Doctora muy profesional quien le ayuda en su enfermedad mental, ella afirma que tras sufrir traumas muy fuertes el cerebro humano es capaz de crear personalidades capaces de crear múltiples cambios en el organismo, un nivel superior de mentalidad. La doctora sospecha que algo malo está pasando en el entorno de Kevin debido a variados correos electrónicos enviados por una de las 23 personalidades en socorro, sin embargo cuando se presentaba el paciente a su consultorio, le daba a entender que todo estaba bien y que los correos solo eran ataques de nervios.

La doctora después de investigar la situación, encuentra el problema con Kevin y sus 23 acompañantes, pero lamentablemente ya era tarde para la doctora y otras dos chicas.

La personalidad 24 llamado la bestia, nacerá y tomará a estas chicas en sacrificio y luego seguirá junto con las demás personalidades que viven dentro Kevin haciendo estragos en la población, con el fin de dar a conocer que existen y no son una creación de la mente.

Kevin vuelve a estar dormido y esta vez su cuerpo está bajo el control total de la mujer fría y calculadora, el hombre con trastorno obsesivo compulsivo, el niño de 9 años y la bestia, ellos se hacen llamar la horda.

Es interesante ver como a pesar de que la bestia recibió varios tiros de escopeta, no sufrió daños graves, y como trepaba las paredes, recuerden que es solo una personalidad de la mente de Kevin, sin embargo su cuerpo se hizo más grande y fuerte bajo ésta.

La única joven que quedó viva, tuvo una vida muy dura y trágica, ya que de muy niña perdió a su padre y era abusada sexualmente por su tío. Yo sospecho que su padre fue asesinado por su tío. Y que lamentable que la estuvo abusando por tantos años sin resistencia. Gracias a esta vida de sufrimiento fue catalogada como pura, por la bestia y no la mató, ya que el target de la horda son las almas impuras (las que no han sufrido), vuelvo a decir que es contradictorio.

Ahora bien, opino que la película es buena, es un tema bastante interesante, personalmente creo que los trastornos de identidad disociativo como las que vive Kevin es una enfermedad espiritual, no es algo mental, es más una posesión de espíritus inmundos para que me entiendan mejor, una persona con estas entidades habitando en su organismo es capaz de cambiar su forma natural, su fuerza, su intelecto, etc, dependiendo del ente, un tema delicado que muchos no creen, pero yo lo creo, hay un relato bíblico incluso que habla sobre esto en Marcos capítulo 5 (Version RV60) :

5 Vinieron al otro lado del mar, a la región de los gadarenos.
2 Y cuando salió él de la barca, en seguida vino a su encuentro, de los sepulcros, un hombre con un espíritu inmundo,
3 que tenía su morada en los sepulcros, y nadie podía atarle, ni aun con cadenas.
4 Porque muchas veces había sido atado con grillos y cadenas, mas las cadenas habían sido hechas pedazos por él, y desmenuzados los grillos; y nadie le podía dominar.
5 Y siempre, de día y de noche, andaba dando voces en los montes y en los sepulcros, e hiriéndose con piedras.
6 Cuando vio, pues, a Jesús de lejos, corrió, y se arrodilló ante él.
7 Y clamando a gran voz, dijo: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te conjuro por Dios que no me atormentes.
8 Porque le decía: Sal de este hombre, espíritu inmundo.
9 Y le preguntó: ¿Cómo te llamas? Y respondió diciendo: Legión me llamo; porque somos muchos.
10 Y le rogaba mucho que no los enviase fuera de aquella región.
11 Estaba allí cerca del monte un gran hato de cerdos paciendo.
12 Y le rogaron todos los demonios, diciendo: Envíanos a los cerdos para que entremos en ellos.
13 Y luego Jesús les dio permiso. Y saliendo aquellos espíritus inmundos, entraron en los cerdos, los cuales eran como dos mil; y el hato se precipitó en el mar por un despeñadero, y en el mar se ahogaron.
14 Y los que apacentaban los cerdos huyeron, y dieron aviso en la ciudad y en los campos. Y salieron a ver qué era aquello que había sucedido.
15 Vienen a Jesús, y ven al que había sido atormentado del demonio, y que había tenido la legión, sentado, vestido y en su juicio cabal; y tuvieron miedo.
16 Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo le había acontecido al que había tenido el demonio, y lo de los cerdos.
17 Y comenzaron a rogarle que se fuera de sus contornos.
18 Al entrar él en la barca, el que había estado endemoniado le rogaba que le dejase estar con él.
19 Mas Jesús no se lo permitió, sino que le dijo: Vete a tu casa, a los tuyos, y cuéntales cuán grandes cosas el Señor ha hecho contigo, y cómo ha tenido misericordia de ti.
20 Y se fue, y comenzó a publicar en Decápolis cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él; y todos se maravillaban.

Puedo agregar incluso que la esquizofrenia, otra llamada enfermedad mental que consiste en oír voces y ver cosas que no "existen", está relacionada con este tipo de enfermedades espirituales. La persona afectada no está imaginando voces, está escuchando las voces de entidades que existen y son reales pero que están en un plano o sintonía diferente a la común. Pero es un tema que podemos abordar en otra oportunidad, tal vez con alguna otra película, quien sabe.

Es un tema bastante extenso que se puede debatir a través de la película Split y me encantaría leer algunas opiniones. Pero en resumen la película me pareció interesante y nada mal, muy buena fotografía por cierto, me gustan ese estilo de escenas, tomas y fotos.

The film focuses on a man named Kevin who has a mental illness called dissociative identity disorder, in his mind lives at first 23 personalities and in the end 24. Each of his personalities is independent and can get to talk to each other, there is a scene where two of them plan an affair and talk to each other as if they were two different people.

Kevin, the original personality is unconscious, let's say he is in a kind of coma, and the personalities residing in his mind have complete and total control of his body. Some of them are very talented and responsible, one of them is a 9 year old boy, another is a very intelligent but cold and calculating woman, another is a man with an obsessive-compulsive disorder of cleanliness and order. The plan of these is to deliver to personality 24, soon to be born, some young women in sacrifice who have never suffered in life, for them they are something like impure, which in a way is contradictory because they will deliver impure as a sacrifice when the normal is something pure, but well I do not know about sacrifices and I can not say much about that.

One of the personalities that inhabit Kevin's body named Dennis, kidnaps three girls, originally the idea was to kidnap two girls, but as there was a third one he also took her. These girls had been studied for a long time by Dennis and he came to the conclusion that they were impure and would be given in sacrifice to the Beast.

Kevin has a very professional Doctor who helps him with his mental illness, she claims that after suffering very strong traumas the human brain is capable of creating personalities capable of creating multiple changes in the organism, a higher level of mentality. The doctor suspects that something bad is happening in Kevin's environment due to several emails sent by one of the 23 personalities in distress, however when the patient presented himself to her office, she gave him to understand that everything was fine and that the emails were just nervous breakdowns.

The doctor after investigating the situation, finds the problem with Kevin and his 23 companions, but unfortunately it was too late for the doctor and two other girls.

Personality 24 called the beast, will be born and take these girls in sacrifice and then follow along with the other personalities living inside Kevin wreaking havoc on the population, in order to make it known that they exist and are not a creation of the mind.

Kevin is once again asleep and this time his body is under the total control of the cold and calculating woman, the man with obsessive-compulsive disorder, the 9 year old boy and the beast, they call themselves the horde.

It is interesting to see how even though the beast took several shotgun blasts, it did not suffer serious damage, and how it climbed the walls, remember it is just a personality of Kevin's mind, yet its body grew bigger and stronger under it.

The only young woman left alive, she had a very hard and tragic life, since she lost her father as a child and was sexually abused by her uncle. I suspect that her father was murdered by her uncle. And how unfortunate that he abused her for so many years without resistance. Thanks to this life of suffering she was classified as pure, by the beast and he did not kill her, since the target of the horde are the impure souls (those who have not suffered), I say again that it is contradictory.

Now, I think the movie is good, it is a very interesting topic, I personally believe that dissociative identity disorders such as those experienced by Kevin is a spiritual disease, it is not something mental, it is more a possession of unclean spirits to understand me better, a person with these entities living in his body is able to change its natural form, strength, intellect, etc, depending on the entity, a delicate issue that many do not believe, but I believe it, there is even a biblical account that talks about this in Mark chapter 5 (Version RV60):

5 They came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was gone out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling in the tombs, and no one could bind him, not even with chains.
4 For he had often been bound with fetters and chains, but the chains had been broken in pieces by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could subdue him.
5 And always, night and day, he was crying out on the mountains and in the tombs, and wounding himself with stones.

I might even add that schizophrenia, another so-called mental illness that consists of hearing voices and seeing things that do not "exist", is related to this type of spiritual illness. The affected person is not imagining voices, he or she is hearing the voices of entities that exist and are real but are on a different plane or attunement than the common one. But it is a subject that we can address another time, maybe with some other movie, who knows.

It is quite an extensive topic that can be debated through the movie Split and I would love to read some opinions. But in short I found the movie interesting and not bad at all, very good photography by the way, I like that style of scenes, shots and photos.
