Joker - 2019
So this is my first post on here, hope you guys enjoy my content love movies, just love them! Whenever i watch a new one or rewatch a goldie will share some knowledge!
My first pick for this awesome community gotta be a huge movie and as the title suggest Joker(2019).
Joker is based on the comic villain and it tells it's origin, how everything on his life made him, what builded him.
The director Todd Phillipps, received 11 nominees for the oscar and he portrait a beautiful scenario, where he shows a Gotham on a silver lining where the city is completely destroyed, lots of garbage on the streets, huge unemployment, govenerment dropping health care and suport. So as you can see everything is goind downhill.
The main character is performed by Joaquim Phoenix and he was awarded with the Oscar award of best lead actor and he portrait a aspiring comedian and a clown that suffers tons of mental disorders and everything goes south.. He looses his job, his relation with his mother is quite awful, he's career as a comedian doesnt boom and so on.
There's a brilliant performance by Robert de Niro as well, he actually brings life in KEY moments of the movie where you get to know how things are scalating quickly in Gotham.
Joker received 11 Oscar's nominations and won 2, 1 as the lead actor (as mentioned before) and 1 as best soundtrack.
If you want to watch a GREAT movie and enjoy a real masterpiece go forward.
