Film Review: Amélie | An extraordinary film within the strangeness of life itself. [ESP/ENG]

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero que se encuentren muy bien.Hace unos años descubrí una película que no me gusto para nada en ese momento, pensé que era demasiado larga y que la historia no tenia mucho sentido, sin embargo hace poco la vi y quede maravillada sobre todo gracias a un post que me animo a verla sin expectativas y fue un momento muy especial y lleno de reflexiones sobre la historia de Amélie, aquella pequeña incomprendida y tambien diferente ante un mundo lleno de momentos de tristeza, de mucha realidad y de momentos extraordinarios que la hacen única en si misma.

Hello, friends of the Movies & TV community. I hope you are all doing well. A few years ago, I discovered a film that I did not like at all at the time. I thought it was too long and that the story did not make much sense. However, I recently watched it again and was amazed, mainly thanks to a post that encouraged me to watch it without any expectations. It was a very special moment, full of reflections on the story of Amélie, that misunderstood little girl who was also different in a world full of sadness, harsh reality and extraordinary moments that make her unique.

La historia de Amélie se remonta desde su nacimiento y lo esperada que fue por sus padres, ella fue una niña esperada y amada, que con el tiempo fue creciendo en un ambiente bastante solitario debido a que se creía que tenía problemas con su corazón, por lo que para no exponerla ante la vida y todo lo que esto implicaba, la dejaron en casa recibiendo educación desde allí y también descubriendo su propio mundo, uno que ella misma creo y que le permitió crecer en medio de la esperanza de conocer otros niños, de poder hacer cosas que otros hacían y de expresarse de la manera en la que ella quería, porque Amélie no era una joven más, era un ser humano lleno de cosas extraordinarias.

The story of Amélie goes back to her birth and how eagerly awaited she was by her parents. She was a long-awaited and beloved child, who grew up in a rather lonely environment because it was believed that she had heart problems. so, in order not to expose her to life and all that it entailed, they kept her at home, where she was educated and also discovered her own world, one that she created herself and that allowed her to grow up hoping to meet other children, to be able to do things that others did and to express herself in the way she wanted, because Amélie was not just another young girl, she was a human being full of extraordinary things.

Esta historia puede sentirse como estar viendo un drama con comedia de por medio, como lo es la vida real en muchos momentos, pero también muestra todas esas cosas que pasamos desapercibidas por la rapidez con la que vamos viviendo, aquellos detalles como las personas que frecuentemente nos encontramos, los colores de las calles, las manías de las personas, los problemas que suceden en el mundo y que se ven en medio de la televisión, los deseos de cada persona y lo que nos hace a cada uno ser diferentes. Todas esas cosas se muestran de forma minuciosa en la película y es de lo más espectacular que he visto.

This story may feel like watching a drama with comedy mixed in, as real life often is, but it also shows all those things that go unnoticed because of the fast pace of our lives, details such as the people we frequently encounter, the colours of the streets, people's quirks, the problems happening in the world that we see on television, each person's desires and what makes us all different. All these things are shown in minute detail in the film, and it is one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen.

Tiene mucho drama, porque muestra la vida tal como es sin intentar adornar o mostrar una historia más de película, en ella vemos a Amélie crecer, enfrentarse al mundo sola luego de haber tenido una infancia diferente, además trabajar y vivir de forma independiente. Amelie siempre tiene una forma única de prestarle atención a los detalles de sus días, las cosas que suceden en el barrio, en su trabajo, en el metro, en su vida, donde ella se mira más como espectadora que como una persona que realmente merece vivir su vida, pero al final alguien especial le recuerda que también merece tener su propia historia y dejar por momentos el tener que ver a los demás con gran importancia.

It is very dramatic because it shows life as it is without trying to embellish or show a more cinematic story. In it, we see Amélie grow up, face the world alone after having had a different childhood, and work and live independently. Amélie always has a unique way of paying attention to the details of her days, the things that happen in her neighbourhood, at work, on the underground, in her life, where she sees herself more as a spectator than as a person who really deserves to live her life. But in the end, someone special reminds her that she also deserves to have her own story and to stop seeing others as so important.

Los colores de la película son como de un tono amarillo lo que hace que se sienta reconfortante a pesar de escuchar ciertas calamidades que viven las personas y aunque es contradictorio siento que le da el toque para hacerla ver como una película que muestra la realidad de una manera diferente, donde no se tiene que ver todo como algo crítico, como lo peor que puede suceder, sino como momentos que pasan y que como tal son pasajeros... Me gusto poder ver además los colores en la ropa de Amélie, en las calles, en los cambios del día a la noche, en las fotografías y en la estética de la zona donde fue grabada la película.

The colours in the film are yellowish, which makes it feel comforting despite hearing about the calamities that people experience. Although it is contradictory, I feel that this gives it the touch that makes it seem like a film that shows reality in a different way, where you don't have to see everything as something critical, as the worst that can happen, but rather as moments that pass and are therefore fleeting... I also liked seeing the colours in Amélie's clothes, in the streets, in the changes from day to night, in the photographs and in the aesthetics of the area where the film was shot.

Más profundamente, siento que está película muestra la historia de una joven que crece sin entenderse y que se siente sumamente sola a pesar de tener personas a su alrededor que están para ella, como su padre que a pesar de los años se sigue preocupando por ella como cuando era niña. También muestran el lado en el que Amélie empieza a experimentar más que curiosidad por la vida y por las personas, cuando reconoce que por primera vez se siente atraída hacia un joven y desde ese momento la película toma una forma graciosa y se vuelve toda una travesía para que ambos puedan conocerse.

More profoundly, I feel that this film tells the story of a young woman who grows up without understanding herself and who feels extremely lonely despite having people around her who are there for her, such as her father, who, despite the passing of the years, continues to care for her as he did when she was a child. It also shows the side where Amélie begins to experience more than curiosity about life and people, when she recognises that for the first time she is attracted to a young man, and from that moment on, the film takes a humorous turn and becomes a journey for both of them to get to know each other.

Me encanto que pude verla como una persona más adulta y comprender muchas cosas que tal vez siendo más joven no lo hubiera podido hacer. Puede que sea una película que es extrana por momentos, que parece no tener un guión o una explicación concreta, pero es bonito ver este tipo de historias en el cine, que se puedan apreciar las pequeñas cosas que hacen especiales a la vida, las cosas que tenemos que vivir que nos generan un sabor amargo, lo que nos hace crecer, sentirnos vivos. Fue muy bonita la película y aunque duro dos horas realmente disfrute mucho de verla, siento que es una película muy bien hecha y pensada, especial como muy pocas a mi parecer.

I loved that I was able to see her as a more mature person and understand many things that I might not have been able to when I was younger. It may be a film that is strange at times, that seems to have no script or concrete explanation, but it is nice to see this type of story in cinema, where you can appreciate the little things that make life special, the things we have to experience that leave a bitter taste, that make us grow and feel alive. The film was very beautiful and although it lasted two hours, I really enjoyed watching it. I feel that it is a very well-made and well-thought-out film, special in a way that very few films are, in my opinion.
