[Movie] "Army of Thieves" Review Eng | Urdu
I found "Army of Thieves" to be an extremely interesting, action-packed, and suspenseful film mixed with crime comedy. Released on Netflix in 2021, it is truly a fantastic movie.

The movie "Army of Thieves" is a prequel to Zack Snyder's famous film "Army of the Dead". The story takes place some time before the events of the first movie. Although it is connected to the original film, even if you haven't watched Army of the Dead, you will easily understand every single detail of this story and enjoy it to the fullest—just like I did, haha!
Now that we are talking about the film, it is essential to mention its cast and team. The main lead of the movie is Matthias Schweighöfer, who played the central character of "Ludwig Dieter" and also directed the film. The main heroine is Nathalie Emmanuel, who played the role of "Gwendoline."

Talking about the beginning of the movie, the story starts with Ludwig Dieter leading a very boring life, working as a bank clerk in a city in Germany. Outwardly, he appears to be a very simple man, but he possesses an extraordinary hidden talent. His greatest skill is safe-cracking, cracking the biggest and most difficult safes in the world. By listening to the subtle sounds of the internal dial and understanding its mechanics, he can open a lock in just a few minutes. His ultimate passion is to crack four extremely complex safes designed by the legendary and mysterious locksmith Hans Wagner, which are considered the safest and most invincible in the world.
Ludwig’s simple and routine life takes a sudden turn when Gwendoline leaves a comment on his YouTube video and invites him to a location where safe-crackers have gathered. A underground competition takes place among them, which Ludwig easily wins thanks to his incredible talent. The next day, he meets Gwendoline, a clever and attractive girl who is shown as the leader of an international crew of thieves. Seeing Ludwig's exceptional safe-cracking skills, Gwendoline offers him a spot in her crew for a mission that is likely every safe-cracker’s dream: "To heist the masterpiece safes kept in different banks across European countries one by one."
In this dangerous and thrilling heist mission, Ludwig is joined by a hacker, a driver, an action specialist, and Gwendoline herself. From my perspective, the most interesting aspect of the story is that on one hand, news of a zombie virus outbreak in America is causing panic worldwide, while on the other hand, this team in Europe is executing one high-tech and seemingly impossible heist after another. With the police and Interpol hot on their trail day and night, the movie maintains non-stop suspense, keeping the viewer completely hooked.
Perspective / Final Verdict
If I talk about the overall review and experience of the film, its lighthearted humor, amazing music, and safe-cracking techniques kept me glued to the screen from start to finish. I usually have a habit of not rewatching a movie once I’ve seen it, but I have watched this movie three times, and every time felt just as enjoyable as the first. This isn't merely a story about a heist; it also beautifully highlights friendship, mutual trust, emotions, and a touch of romance. The acting and chemistry between Matthias Schweighöfer and Nathalie Emmanuel truly elevated the film.
If you enjoy watching movies filled with safe-cracking, clever heists, and comedy, this movie will definitely not disappoint you!

اگر آپ کو سیف کریکنگ شاطرانہ چوریوں اور کامیڈی سے بھرپور فلمیں دیکھنا پسند ہے تو یہ فلم آپ کو بالکل بھی مایوس نہیں کرے گی۔۔۔
