Fitness in old age
Last evening me and hubby went to watch a Jackie Chan movie, it's a new release called The Shadow's Edge, the movie was good, as usual lots of action which is his specialty and it was given a modern touch with a tech drama mixed with the traditional Jackie Chan fight scenes. I was feeling low, so hubby thought it would be good to do this outing and cheer me up. I am not a very big fan of him but hubby is, and he wants to watch all his movies.
In this movie he really looks very old and you can also see the fatigue on his face during the action sequences. But bravo to him for pulling off such scenes at his age of 71 years, where most of the actors give up on the action's scenes. I am sure in some of the scenes his body double must be used, but you could make out that a lot of them he has done it by himself. When you look at people like him, you realize that age is just a number. I am sure he must be so disciplined on his fitness routines and that's why at this age also he is so fit and active.
People like him are inspiration for the younger generation when it comes to fitness. It's not easy to be that fit after the age of 71 unless you start your fitness training and routines from a very early age. Fitness in old age just does not happen by itself, it takes years of dedication and commitment. If one has not invested enough on one's fitness and then suddenly at the age of 70 thinks of fitness then it's very difficult to build up, but yes, if it has been an ongoing effort then it all looks very easy by that age.
These are the people who are my role models when it comes to fitness. It's not about looking young or old it's about how much energy and strength one has in old age. Looks can be all managed by new age technologies but strength and energy is something one has to really work hard on. I have grown up watching his movies and I can see his energy levels have always been the same. He is a legend who has entertained people over so many decades with his humor and action. It is always fun watching him on the screen.
Yes, my mood did change a bit after the movie and then a good sleep added up to it. So I do feel better today morning.

Jackie Chan is one of my favorite actors of all time and I think he's such a great example of lifelong dedication to fitness. I believe consistency and discipline on the right direction will always pay off, especially as we age
He is not my favorite but I do enjoy watching his movies, it's always a thriller plot
It really is always a thriller pot
Wow that's awesome, I don't even know he's still acting i think fitness at old age is of good help to every human, they hardly fall sick always fit. Thanks to your hubby for his understanding
He does very few movies, I am sure it must be because of the age, but he still does it and is good at it
