De las características más presente en los slasher es lo repetitivo de sus historias y posiblemente hacer una crítica negativa referente a eso puede considerarse como algo incorrecto, pero lo hecho en esta nueva película de la franquicia al repetir muchos aspectos de la película original, me pareció inadecuado, es más que una señal de poca originalidad, es una demostración de nula imaginación y no concuerdo de que recrear momentos importantes del film original en esta nueva producción sea considerado como un homenaje, creo que se perdió la oportunidad de hacer algo actual, de para generar conexión con un nuevo público y no tanto el usar la nostalgia para hacer feliz al público que vio el primer film hace ya casi 30 años.
