"We All Have Powers Of One Kind Or Another. But In Our Own Way, We Are All Spider-Man."

En el 2018, cuando se estrenó este film no podía creer lo genial que era, si hubo una producción que supero mis expectativas en ese año, justamente fue "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"; por varios años después de la existencia de varias versiones cinematográficas, de acción-real sobre el héroe arácnido de Marvel y de la discusión sobre cuál era mejor, la que se acerca a la esencia de lo que representa este personaje de los comics y en mi opinión el que lo hace de forma perfecta es está historia en dónde tenemos diferentes versiones de un mismo héroe, eso en un principio siempre me pareció genial porque muchas personas pueden relacionarse con cada uno de estos personajes, lo otro fue utilizar la vida de un chico que primero tiene la oportunidad de alcanzar metas que otros no pudieron tener y que de la noche a la mañana deberá convertirse en alguien más importante de lo que él pensaba en ser; esto solo me hace pensar que la historia de Spider-Man es sorprende y motivadora y eso no cambia en este film en particular, ya que las expectativas de vida que tiene este joven protagonista es muy importante para la historia; "Miles Morales" es un gran personaje, bueno, correcto, con muchas preguntas y con ganas de descubrir más, receptivo y valiente, es una gran manera de demostrar lo que debe ser un héroe y sin duda es una de las mejores versiones escritas para el cine que tiene este joven personaje de Marvel. Los tres directores, Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey y Rodney Rothman, junto al equipo de animación por parte de "Sony Pictures Imageworks", rama de Sony Pictures Animation, hicieron un gran trabajo, todo a la vez acompañado por la menta de Phil Lord y Christopher Miller, uno como con guionista y a la vez ambos como productores, quien tiene experiencia realizando films animados, innovadores como "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" y "The Lego Movie" y por eso en esa oportunidad no sería la excepción porque si hay un film que obligatoriamente debería entrar como una de las mejores películas basadas en un comic, sin duda que "Into the Spider-Verse" debería estar en un top 5 sin exageración; el diseño de la ciudad, los personajes, los momentos de acción, drama y comedia son excelentes, no hay ninguna escena que sea mala porque todas son perfectas y siempre pensé que con esta película se creó un umbral difícil de superar.

In 2018, when this film was released I couldn't believe how great it was, if there was a production that exceeded my expectations in that year, it was precisely "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"; for several years after the existence of several cinematic, action-real versions of Marvel's arachnid hero and the discussion about which one was better, the one that comes closer to the essence of what this character represents in the comics and in my opinion the one that does it perfectly is this story where we have different versions of the same hero, that in the beginning always seemed great to me because many people can relate to each one of these characters, the other thing was to use the life of a boy who first has the opportunity to achieve goals that others could not have and that overnight he should become someone more important than he thought of being; this only makes me think that Spider-Man's story is surprising and motivating and that doesn't change in this particular film, since the life expectations that this young protagonist has is very important for the story; "Miles Morales" is a great character, good, correct, with many questions and eager to discover more, receptive and brave, is a great way to show what a hero should be and without a doubt is one of the best versions written for the cinema that this young Marvel character has. The three directors, Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, along with the animation team from Sony Pictures Imageworks, a branch of Sony Pictures Animation, did a great job, all accompanied by the mint of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, one as writer and both as producers, who has experience making innovative animated films such as "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "The Lego Movie" and so this time would not be the exception because if there is a film that should necessarily enter as one of the best films based on a comic book, no doubt that "Into the Spider-Verse" should be in a top 5 without exaggeration; the design of the city, the characters, the moments of action, drama and comedy are excellent, there is no scene that is bad because they are all perfect and I always thought that with this film a threshold was created that is difficult to overcome.

"The Mitchells vs. The Machines" fue una de las mejores películas del pasado año, es una de las mejores historias familiares que he visto porque une lo hecho en films hechos en épocas de los ochenta, noventa y lo actualiza a esta época que vivimos; lo genial de este film va en relatar ese choque generacional que vivimos que en vez de unirnos nos separa por el poco entendimiento de respetar el pasado o de evolucionar al futuro, pero todo desde el punto de vista de un padre y su hija que se está preparando para enfrentar al mundo, todo esto mientas ocurre un evento apocalíptico con el levantamiento de las máquinas; en parte no es una historia original, pero si una muy bien escrita y desarrollada y es que el tema de buscar la aceptación de los padres a lo que sus hijos les gusta es tan real que no tiene un tiempo específico y lo lamentable es el aumento de esa brecha del entendimiento y en esta historia a pesar de pelear contra una inteligencia artificial, pienso que la verdadera lucha está en la relación de un buen padre y su talentosa hija. Lo hecho por el director Mike Rianda quien co-escribrió el guion junto a Jeff Rowe y la producción tanto de Lord, Miller y todo el trabajo por parte de "Sony Pictures Imageworks" vuelven a romper el molde de todo lo visto anteriormente, los diseños de los personajes son muy caricaturesco y eso es perfecto, me gusta cada uno con sus diferentes rasgos que le dan naturalidad, lo otro es que si está es una película animada entonces por qué imitar tanto la realidad, hacer una historia llena de figuras irreales, "animadas" es algo que admiro de este film, que lo hace divertido y posiblemente único; nuevamente Sony Animations hace un gran trabajo dando libertad a un grupo de personas que quieren hacer films animados en dónde justamente exista eso, animación y es algo que me gustó tanto este film como muchos otros; The Mitchells vs. The Machines tiene una gran historia, usa mucho la nostalgia e influencia de otros films de comedia de los ochenta y eso pienso que es lo que primeramente captó mi atención, después a ver más la historia es lo que me hace catalogarla como una de las mejores películas que he visto y debo decir que mereció ganar todos los premios en dónde fue nominada.

The Mitchells vs. The Machines" was one of the best films of last year, it is one of the best family stories I've seen because it unites what was done in films made in the eighties, nineties and updates it to this time we live in; the great thing about this film is to relate the generational clash we live in that instead of uniting us separates us by the little understanding of respecting the past or evolve to the future, but all from the point of view of a father and his daughter who is preparing to face the world, all this while an apocalyptic event occurs with the rise of the machines; It is not an original story in part, but it is a very well written and developed one, and the theme of seeking the acceptance of parents to what their children like is so real that it does not have a specific time and the unfortunate thing is the increase of that gap of understanding and in this story despite fighting against an artificial intelligence, I think the real struggle is in the relationship of a good father and his talented daughter. The work of director Mike Rianda who co-wrote the script with Jeff Rowe and the production of both Lord, Miller and all the work by Sony Pictures Imageworks again breaks the mold of everything seen before, the character designs are very cartoonish and that's perfect, I like each one with their different features that give them naturalness, the other thing is that if this is an animated film then why imitate reality so much, making a story full of unreal, "animated" figures is something I admire about this film, that makes it fun and possibly unique; again Sony Animations does a great job giving freedom to a group of people who want to make animated films where there is just that, animation and that is something I liked about this film as much as many others; The Mitchells vs. The Machines has a great story, it uses a lot of nostalgia and influence from other comedy films of the eighties and I think that's what first caught my attention, after seeing more of the story is what makes me classify it as one of the best films I've seen and I must say that it deserved to win all the awards where it was nominated.

Sé que Pixar y Disney, tanto juntos como por separado, han hecho un gran número de excelentes producciones, pero estos dos films junto a "Wolfwalkers" (2020), en el transcurso de cuatro años son relevantes y lo seguirán siendo porque son muy diferentes a todo lo que se ha visto, no temen en justamente ser animadas y creo que eso es refrescante porque se desvía de lo que se hace en la actualidad; para era ser sincero lo que ha hecho estos films es traer de vuelta esa esencia de la animación y creo que es eso lo que capta la atención del público infantil y adulto. Cómo dije al principio de niño no era muy fan de ver películas animadas, pero de adulto puedo captar estas grandes producciones sea por la nostalgia o por el gran trabajo que hacen todas las personas que son parte de estos proyectos y para terminar solo me queda decir que ambas producciones están en Netflix por sí no las han visto; la secuela de "Into the Spider-Verse" se estrenará el año que viene y se conocerá como "Across the Spider-Verse" y nos dará la posibilidad de seguir viendo este maravilloso mundo que se ha creado para este personaje y todavía espero que se confirme una secuela de The Mitchells en dónde espero se enfrenten a alienígenas y tengamos "The Mitchells vs. The Aliens".

I know that Pixar and Disney, both together and separately, have made a number of excellent productions, but these two films along with "Wolfwalkers" (2020), over the course of four years are relevant and will continue to be relevant because they are so different from anything else that has been seen, they are not afraid to just be animated and I think that is refreshing because it deviates from what is being done today; to be honest, what these films have done is to bring back the essence of animation and I think that's what captures the attention of children and adults. As I said at the beginning as a child I was not a big fan of watching animated films, but as an adult I can capture these great productions either by nostalgia or by the great work done by all the people who are part of these projects and to finish I can only say that both productions are on Netflix in case you have not seen them; the sequel of "Into the Spider-Verse" will be released next year and will be known as "Across the Spider-Verse" and will give us the possibility to continue seeing this wonderful world that has been created for this character and I still hope that a sequel of The Mitchells is confirmed where I hope they will face aliens and we will have "The Mitchells vs. The Aliens".
