Cine TV Contest #140 | Road House ESP/ENG

Saludos cinéfilos de Hive que hacen vida recomendando excelentes películas en #CineTV. Hoy quiero participar de su iniciativa llamada Escena de pelea favorita de una película. Me llamó la atención el tema ya que hace poco había visto este film del cual les vengo a hablar y justamente el tema va acorde a su concurso, por lo que aprovecho la oportunidad.

Greetings, movie lovers at Hive, who spend their lives recommending excellent films on #CineTV. Today I want to participate in your initiative called Favorite Movie Fighting Scene. The topic caught my attention because I had recently seen the film I'm about to talk about, and the topic fits right in with your contest, so I'm taking advantage of the opportunity.

La película tiene una trama sencilla pero está cargada de mucho suspenso y acción. Me considero muy fan de Jake Gyllenhaal, he visto casi todas las películas que ha hecho y para mí es un actor de gran talento en el mundo de Hollywood. Siempre tiene mucho para dar y se adapta a cualquier roll que le den.

The film has a simple plot but is full of suspense and action. I consider myself a big fan of Jake Gyllenhaal. I've seen almost all of his films, and I think he's a very talented actor in Hollywood. He always has a lot to offer and adapts to any role he's given.

En esta ocasión, Jake interptera a un ex luchador de peso medio de la UFC, peleas que suelen verse en ESPN y resultan ser muy famosas para quienes les guste este tema. En mi caso, solo soy fan de las películas de acción y peleas en general, no de la lucha libre. Pero cada quien con sus gustos ¿no?.

This time, Jake will be fighting a former UFC middleweight fighter, fights that are often shown on ESPN and are very popular among those who like this sport. In my case, I'm only a fan of action movies and fights in general, not wrestling. But to each his own, right?

Gyllenhaal, como les venía diciendo, interpreta a este Ex luchador de la UFC, quien quiere dejar atrás su vida de peleas (al menos en el ring) y se busca un trabajo en un bar campestre como portero. El lugar a done llegó, a mi me encantó. Nada mas con ver a diario el mar en el fondo durante tu jornada de trabajo debe ser lo mejor.

Gyllenhaal, as I was saying, plays this former UFC fighter who wants to leave his fighting life behind (at least in the ring) and finds a job as a doorman at a country bar. I loved the place he ended up at. Just being able to see the sea in the background every day while you work must be the best thing ever.

Al principio todo transcurre de manera tranquila y llevadera, este hombre tiene un pasado turbio que quisiera mantener escondido pero al final todo se revela. Y aunque Gyllenhaal intenta mantenerse alejado de las peleas, las peleas lo buscan a él. Todo con el fin de salvaguardar su nuevo lugar de trabajo junto con sus nuevos compañeros que alli laboran.

At first, everything goes smoothly and easily, but this man has a troubled past that he wants to keep hidden, and in the end, everything is revealed. And although Gyllenhaal tries to stay out of fights, the fights seek him out. All this is to safeguard his new workplace and his new colleagues who work there.

Para mi fue una sorpresa ver a Gyllenhaal interpretar este papel, ya que nunca lo había visto pelear así, al menos no como un luchador profesional. Además la preparación que tuvo que hacer a nivel corporal fue un extra que no pude evitar apreciar, ya que se puso en muy buena forma.

I was surprised to see Gyllenhaal play this role, as I had never seen him fight like that before, at least not as a professional fighter. In addition, the physical preparation he had to do was a bonus that I couldn't help but appreciate, as he got himself into very good shape.

Las escenas de pelea estuvieron muy buenas, en especial con su contraparte, el villano mafioso que venìa a saldar cuentas con la dueña del bar y él como todo un caballero se interpone para protegerla. A simple vista se nota la ventaja que tiene su oponente con nuestro protagonista, pero este se enfrenta a él sin miedo a lastimar.

The fight scenes were very good, especially with his counterpart, the mafia villain who came to settle scores with the bar owner, and he, like a true gentleman, stepped in to protect her. At first glance, it is clear that his opponent has the upper hand over our protagonist, but he faces him without fear of getting hurt.

Así que su enfrentamiento lo ejecuna no sólo con talent sino también con honor y confianza excesiva en sí mismo. Es como verlo encender un swiche que se activa sólo cuando la adrenalina recorre sus venas y no para hasta que no termine la pelea, incluso si corre peligro de morir, este chico lucha hasta su ultimo aliento, dándolo todo como luchador profesional.

So he fights not only with talent but also with honor and excessive self-confidence. It's like watching him flip a switch that only activates when adrenaline rushes through his veins, and he doesn't stop until the fight is over. Even if he's in danger of dying, this guy fights until his last breath, giving it his all as a professional fighter.

Armando este post, noté que tiene baja calificación en la página de donde saqué las fotos. SensaCine le otorgó 3.5 estrellas de 5. Para mí es una pena pues sus escenas están muy bien llevadas, sobre todo las de pelea, se nota la naturalidad y la experiencia en los protagonistas. Tampoco dejaron de hacer buenas tomas de la escenografía y los paisajes de esa hermosa playa. Me recordaron la frase que solemos decir en Venezuela: La Vida en el Mar es la más Sabrosa! Y luego de ver este film me dieron ganas de echarme un viaje a la playa. Si tuviera que darle una calificación, le doy 8/10. Hasta mi próximo post, saludos!

While putting together this post, I noticed that it has a low rating on the website where I got the photos. SensaCine gave it 3.5 stars out of 5. I think that's a shame because the scenes are very well done, especially the fight scenes, where you can see the naturalness and experience of the actors. They also captured some great shots of the scenery and landscapes of that beautiful beach. It reminded me of a phrase we often say in Venezuela: Life at sea is the best! And after watching this film, I felt like taking a trip to the beach. If I had to give it a rating, I'd give it 8/10. Until my next post, cheers!
