I recently got to watch a series I found in my TV library—one I’d been wanting to see for ages, since this kind of show really catches my interest; it’s always about princesses and princes from the kingdom’s royal family. That’s why this time I decided to watch the series Máxima, which is about a girl haunted by her past. When she meets her crown prince, she finds herself in the eye of the storm due to her father’s troubled history with the guerrillas, and this prevents her from being happy or creates obstacles to her happiness.

The first season of the series consists of six episodes and focuses solely on the connection the two felt during their first encounter, and on how they manage to maintain their relationship across the distance despite the obstacles and the media—in short, like a normal relationship— but many things stand in their way besides their family history; yet they still decide to commit to their love regardless of what others say. The series unfolds in a rather interesting setting where Máxima must choose between her carefree life and a love that promises her a happy life. Faced with the challenges of her relationship and her family’s prejudices, Máxima decides to prioritize her happiness.

In the first season, we saw a bold, spirited, and highly successful young woman—qualities that had been instilled in her from a very young age— but she didn’t know her family’s history for sure—mostly just her father’s version. After fighting against everything, Máxima manages to say “yes” to Prince Willem-Alexander, but this puts her through a terrible ordeal as she decides between her family and the love of her life, since at this time the past catches up with her and makes her doubt her beautiful reality.

Recientemente pude mirar una serie que vi en mi galería de la televisión, la cual tenía muchísimo tiempo esperando verla, ya que me llama mucho la atención este tipo de series, la cual siempre trata de princesas y de príncipes de la realeza del reino, es por eso que en esta oportunidad me propuse ver la serie Máxima la cual trata de una chica la cual su pasado le atormenta, ya que cuando se encuentra su príncipe heredero, esta se mira en el ojo del Huracán tras el pasado crítico que tuvo su padre con la guerrilla, y esto impide, o crea obstáculo para su felicidad.

La serie en su primera temporada consta de 6 capítulo, está emarcada solamente en el conocimiento que tuvieron los 2 en su primera interacción, y en cómo pueden llevar ellos su relación a través de la distancia a pesar de los obstáculos y de la prensa, en pocas palabras como una relación normal, pero muchas cosas se interponen en su camino aparte de la historia de su familia, pero ún así deciden apostar por su amor más allá de lo que digan los demás. La serie se desenvuelve en un ambiente bastante interesante en donde Máxima tiene que lograr escoger entre su vida relajada, o un amor que le promete una vida feliz, entre las cosas de su relación y los prejuicios de la familia, Máxima decide apostar por su felicidad.

En la primera temporada pudimos notar a una chica audaz,temperamental y llena de éxito, porque desde muy pequeña eso se lo inculcaron, pero no a ciencia cierta sabía la historia de su familia, más que todo de la versión de su padre, después de luchar contra todo, máxima logra dar el sí al príncipe Guillermo Alejandro, pero esto la hace pasar por un terrible momento al decidir entre su familia y el amor de su vida, ya que en este tiempo el pasado la alcanza y la hace dudar de su hermosa realidad.

One of the things I enjoy most in life is watching short series about love and royalty, which is why Máxima has become one of my go-to shows lately. Since I’ll be home for Holy Week, I’m going to spend my time watching series that fill me with love in every episode, which is why this one is at the top of my list this week—I love anything to do with the crown prince. We often grow up with different perceptions of our family members and don’t really know what’s going on behind each person’s back, but the most important thing in this series is that his parents never revealed to their children what he was truly trying to do or what his father was doing behind their backs—yet love always prevailed within this family.

I really liked the scenes; I like the way the characters are portrayed, and the drama and everything that goes with it is great, and believe it or not, I really like the attention the characters give to each other, but something I don’t like very much is the constant smoking, both by the current queen and the future prince and princess; it’s something that shouldn’t be there, since it detracts from the character’s refinement, especially in such a respected figure of the monarchy. In this first part, we also see an unusual dynamic among the friends, where things go beyond reality, but in the end, there’s a very subtle turning point in the person—meaning that every person in their life plays a fundamental role.

I really enjoyed this first season, and I only started watching it yesterday since it’s pretty short and the episodes are about 50 minutes long. It’s absolutely lovely and takes us back to those princess dreams where you find your Prince Charming—something I love because I’m a huge fan of this kind of series. I hope the second season is just as lovely and entertaining as the one I just finished watching. Una de las cosas que más disfruto en la vida es poder ver series cortas y que tengan que ver con el amor y la realeza, es por eso que Máxima se ha convertido en uno de mis clásicos en este tiempo, aprovechando la Semana Santa que estaré en casa me dedicaré a ver series que me llenen de amor en cada capítulo, es por eso que esta se encuentra en el punto más alto por esta semana ya que todo lo que tenga que ver con príncipe heredero me encanta. Muchas veces crecemos con percepciones diferentes de nuestras familiares y no sabemos en realidad que es lo que se cocina detrás de cada persona, pero lo más importante en esta serie es que sus padres nunca delataron delante de sus hijos lo que en verdad el trataba de realizar o lo que hacía su padre a espaldas, de ello, pero aún así siempre el amor prevaleció en este ámbito familiar.

Las escenas me ha gustado bastante mucho, la dramatización de los personajes me gusta, la drama y todo lo que esto envuelve es genial, y aunque parezca mentira me gusta mucho la atención que le ponen los personajes, pero algo que no me gusta mucho es el uso del cigarro a cada momento, tanto en la reina actual como el el futuro príncipe y princesa, es algo que debería no estar, ya que le quita lo delicada que es la persona y más en ese personaje tan respetado de la monarquía. En esta primera parte también vemos un juego inusual de las amistades, cuando se sobrepasa de lo real, pero que al final tiene un punto de inflexión muy sutil en la persona, es decir que cada persona que está en su vida juega un papel fundamental.

Esta primera temporada me ha gustado bastante, y sólo fue ayer que la empecé a mirar ya que es basta te corta y sus capítulos son de 50 minutos aproximadamente, es super bonita y nos traslada a esos sueños de princesa donde consigues a su príncipe azul, algo que me gusta ya que este tipo de series las amo. Espero que la segunda temporada sea tan bonita y entretenida como esta que acabo de ver, ahora quiero que me dejes en los comentarios si la has llegado a mirar y que tal te pareció, aunque no quisiera que me dijeras algo de la segunda temporada por favor.
