Once, there was a YouTuber who engaged in his passion which is playing violins and sharing how to be a vegetarian yet his video receives little to no views. When he changed to doing junk food reviews, things changed and the views and his channel subscription sky-rocketed. Also, along with it were requests from his viewers on the stuff they want him to eat. He then turned from a skinny vegan violinist to a monster. Just because he followed what the audience want.

This is the current best example of 'audience capture'.

Another example is the film industry where the audience has the call to what goes on screen or risks bad reviews, low viewers, and ticket collection. Such is the time we are living in now where scholars of the arts are being denied in favor of short-lived bursts of joy. Most of us now like our movies like how we like our fast foods and Tik-Tok videos. Both are diseases.

One can go on and wonder if what we see on the news is true justice or the result of 'audience capture'. Who are the 'directors'?

Wayang.

My guess is that this kind of videos are born of void markets, that is to find a void between two markets that noone ever even think of, but you.

For example of a void market success, the Duck whistle xD
