Cine TV Contest #30 - Movie That Made You Fall Asleep is Fifty Shades of Grey/Cincuenta Sombras de Grey [ENG/ESP]

Hello friends, welcome to my blog, I am pleased to participate in a new edition of the CineTV contest, the movie I chose was "Fifty Shades of Grey", a film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and starring Jamie Doman with Dakota Johnson. For me it is one of the most bland and boring movies I have ever seen. I'm not one to fall asleep, even if I'm exhausted, I can't sleep unless everything is completely dark, but I watched it with my partner and he fell asleep half an hour after watching it. I watched it all the way through because I'm the kind of person that if I start something I finish it.

Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog, me es grato participar en una nueva edición del concurso de CineTV, la película que elegí fue “Cincuenta sombras de Grey”, una cinta dirigida por Sam Taylor-Johnson y protagonizada por Jamie Doman junto a Dakota Johnson. Para mí es una de las películas más sosas y aburridas que he visto. No soy de quedarme dormida, así esté agotada, no puedo dormir a menos que todo esté completamente oscuro, pero la vi junto a mi pareja y se durmió a la media hora de verla. Yo la vi completa hasta terminarla porque soy del tipo de persona que si empieza algo lo termina.

This movie, when it was released, caused a furor because it was based on a book that became a worldwide bestseller by dealing with eroticism in the most graphic way possible, causing morbidity in its readers. I read the book at the time and I didn't think much of it, I didn't really like it, but I must admit that I succumbed to the curiosity to see the film because of the attractiveness of its protagonist Jamie (Christian Grey), who was a great success for the success of the film because of his Adonis qualities, which captivated all women, let's be honest, if that actor was not so handsome the film would not have had such a furor.

Esta película, cuando se estrenó, causo furor porque estaba basada en un libro que se convirtió en un bestseller mundial al tratar el erotismo de la manera más gráfica posible, causando morbo en sus lectores. Leí el libro en su momento y no me pareció gran cosa, no me gusto en realidad, pero debo admitir que sucumbí a la curiosidad de ver la cinta por el atractivo de su protagonista Jamie (Christian Grey), quién fue un gran acierto para el éxito de la cinta por sus dotes de Adonis, que cautivaron a todas las mujeres, en eso seamos sinceros, si ese actor no fuera tan guapo la película no hubiera tenido ese furor.

Beyond the erotic and racy scenes, the screenplay was poor, more like a soap opera from my grandmother's time, where the poor and helpless girl marries the troubled and wealthy guy. Everything was predictable, plus the pacing was slow. It was as disappointing the movie as the book, nothing interesting, other than seeing Jamie's attractiveness. I remember later meeting up with some friends who saw it at the cinema; I saw it at home some time later, we talked and they agreed with me that the reason they went to see the movie was because of Jamie, but the rest was not worth seeing.

Más allá de las escenas eróticas y subidas de tono, el guion era pobre, más parecido a una novela rosa de la época de mi abuela, donde la chica pobre y desvalida se casa con el chico problemático y adinerado. Todo era predecible, además que el ritmo era lento. Fue tan decepciónate la película como el libro, nada interesante, aparte de ver el atractivo de Jamie. Recuerdo que luego me reuní con unas amigas que la vieron en el cine; yo la vi en casa un tiempo después, hablamos y ellas estuvieron de acuerdo conmigo que la razón que las movió a ver la cinta fue por Jamie, pero que dé resto no valía la pena verla.

Despite the dullness of the film, paradoxically it was a financial success, so its producers filmed a sequel. I think and I am almost sure that this was due to the hot scenes of its protagonists, because the sequel did not cause the same effect on the audience, it did not achieve the success of its predecessor. What I can say is that it is a movie to watch once and then forget about it, I still don't know how I finished watching it because after a while not even Jamie's scenes made it worthwhile.

A pesar de lo aburrida de la cinta, paradójicamente esta fue un éxito financieramente, por lo que sus productores filmaron una secuela. Creo y estoy casi segura que esto se debió a las escenas candentes de sus protagonistas, porque la secuela no causo el mismo efecto en la audiencia, no logro el éxito de su predecesora. Lo que sí puedo decir que es una película de solo ver una vez y luego olvidarte de ella, aún no sé cómo la termine de ver porque luego de un rato ya ni las escenas de Jamie, hacían que valiera la pena.

In conclusion, perhaps for my peers this is a politically incorrect opinion, here what sold the film to the public was the morbid desire to see an extremely attractive man, showing a lot of skin and little acting. Although he later proved in other films that he is a good actor, with the right characters and a good script. This is my choice that proves that a financially successful film is not necessarily good and vice versa.

En conclusión, tal vez para mis congéneres sea una opinión políticamente incorrecta, acá lo que vendió la cinta al público fue el morbo de ver a un hombre sumamente atractivo, mostrando mucha piel y poca actuación. A pesar de que luego en otras cintas demostró que es un buen actor, con los personajes correctos y un buen guion. Esta es mi elección que demuestra que una cinta financieramente exitosa no necesariamente es buena y viceversa.
