Sin embargo, es en el guión donde este filme animado enfrenta sus mayores desafíos. La historia sigue a Ember Lumen, una entidad de fuego, y a Wade Ripple, un ser de agua, en una ciudad donde los elementos viven segregados. A pesar de sus diferencias, ambos personajes se sienten atraídos el uno al otro, lo que lleva a una serie de situaciones cómicas y, a veces, conmovedoras.

No obstante, la trama a menudo se siente apresurada, y la abundancia de juegos de palabras y tropos familiares puede distraer de la narrativa principal.

Inspirada en la experiencia de la familia del director Peter Sohn, la lucha de Ember y su familia por encontrar su lugar en Element City, es a la vez universal y profundamente personal. Lo que la convierte en una valiosa lección sobre la aceptación para los niños y la importancia de superar las diferencias para los adultos.

Si bien, puede que esta nueva entrega no alcance las alturas de algunas de sus películas anteriores, su combinación de animación deslumbrante, narrativa conmovedora y temática relevante la convierte en una experiencia cinematográfica que vale la pena.

While some of the deeper themes in Elemental might fly over the heads of younger viewers, the movie offers a chance to think about an issue that's touching many families today.

Those of us who grew up with Pixar know it's always been about pushing boundaries and pulling heartstrings. With classic hits like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and more recently, Coco, the studio has time and again shown its knack for blending cutting-edge animation with deeply human stories.

But with Elemental, Pixar takes us on a bold, sometimes puzzling journey.

A visual journey on identity and integration

We won't dive deep into the animation details, though it's undoubtedly stunning. But then again, when isn't a Pixar movie visually amazing?

In general, the character designs are fresh, with backgrounds that pop and are a treat for the eyes. Every element, be it water, fire, earth, or air, is crafted with a detail and beauty that only Pixar nails.
