High Potential: A Fresh Spin on Detectives
To release some stress of from the long week, I’ve been binging this show and I think it’s one you’d love you much. If you love drama and you have a great sense of humour , this is the one for you.
This show dives into the life of Morgan, a single mother of 3 kids. Morgan us a struggle mom who works as a cleaner in the Los Angeles Police department. She has to juggle her cleaning job with taking care do her toddle and other two children who are a little bit older. With the help of her kids Dad, Ludo and her next door neighbor who baby sit for her, her life isn’t that bad at all.
As someone with a positive spirit, Morgan always tries to see things positively even though she’s struggling. But one thing is so special about and that’s her IQ and thinking capacity. Morgan has an IQ of 160 which is way higher and this makes her very smart. You can imagine what the inside of her brain will look like.
Good enough, her son Elliot happens to also have this trait and that makes them inseparable. However, Morgan’s life takes a quick turn when she moves during one of her cleaning sessions at the department, she rearranges some evidence on the board. She thought she was helping them with the case but after the officers and detectives checked the cameras, they found her guilty of tampering with the board and they bring her in. In there, she’s able to help the police put the bits and pieces together and that’s how she landed a job as a consultant in the police department.
With her kind of free spirit, she does her job with an open heart and with little information on how the police works, she finds herself doing some things the wrong way but learns very fast after being corrected. She and detective Karadec who was her partner did not always see eye to eye but they managed to find a way to work things out for the good of all. With this gig, she’s able to cater for her family and solve cases also. It’s a win win for both end. She also uses this opportunity to find out what happened to her ex husband after her left home to buy diapers and never returned.
I’d rate this movie a 10/10 because it’s just what I needed to see. It makes you laugh while also keeping your brain spinning all along. Somehow, I found myself trying to outsmart this lady by putting bits and pieces together before she could. It was fun and I enjoyed every bit of it.
I’d recommend this show to anyone out there cos it’s a great one.
I think I watched the series about this, but French, and a cleaner has one daughter, this is probably a remake...

High Potential seem like a very interesting watch. And an IQ of 160?? She really must be very smart to land a job as a consultant from a cleaner. Morgan seem to be an interesting female character. I'd love to watch and learn about her character more. Definitely adding this to my weekend watch list
