Power Book IV-Force: Power, Loyalty & Chaos

Hello movie lovers, Hope you are having a great day and week ahead of you. As the week has started, everyone is busy about their daily activities and a movie to end the day isn’t a bad thing for us all. Most movie lovers that I know watch movie after a long day at work to release stress and rest, myself included.

My week started as a very busy one and to release some stress, I make sure to watch a movie during the night time. I started this series a few days ago and but by bit I’ve been able to see all the episodes of the show and today, I want to share this movie with you all. If you’re a lover of action movie, this series is surely the one for you.

THE PLOT

This series lives into the life of a drug dealer, Tommy Egan who grew up with trauma. His mother who was and is still a coke addiction left him in the part when he was a kid and his grandmother has to raise him since then. Growing up in New York wasn’t easy for someone from his kind of background but soon enough, he makes good friends who became family through the drug and soon enough, he and his close friend James St Patrick were running the city.

This series stems from the main power series but this is more about Tommy Egan and his life after he had to flee New York when he was accused of murdering his friend James St Patrick. With nothing left for him in New York, Tommy Egan drove his car day and night on the road headed to California to start a new life. He had already called some of his buddies in the drug business over there so they were expecting him.

But his plans and life changed totally when he stopped in Chicago for a drink and that led to him deciding to stay there to see where the road leads him. His first day in Chicago, he hit it off with the lady at the bar, Gloria who gave him a warm welcome and some more. But that day didn’t end without him almost getting into a fight with Victor Flynn whose father was a drug dealer and owner almost a half of the Chicago territory.

As someone who loved challenges and moves, Tommy decided to test the waters in Chicago for a start and before he could do that, he is attacked by an old worker from way back in new York , Lilliana. However, the managed to come to a common grounds when he find out Lillian’s had a shot ton of coke in her apartment which he obviously requested to help her move. To move this coke, he had to look around, make connections and find the main men in the drug business in Chicago and that’s how he came to build connections with the Flynn family, the Serbians and the CBI ( Chicago brothers incorporated).

As you know, the drug business is a very tricky one and Tommy knew exactly which doors he should knock on and not knock on. Obviously, he got into wars with some of these groups but always managed to find his way out. But, would he get between two brothers fighting over a territory when he finally mages to have a drug of his own which could change the came for him with the help of Claudia Flynn. And how does the story end for him with this new step he is taking. Does he put his life , that of the family he just discovered, his business partners and civilians at risk? You’d have to find out!

MY THOUGHTS AND RATING

I’d rate this show a solid 10/10 because why not. Of all the power series this is actually my favorite because of the plot and the characters involved. The man character, Tommy Egan is someone who means business but always find a way to chill in the princess. His sense of humor is just top notch and I love how he and Lilliana hit it off very well right from the start.

This movie thought me about the importance of family and the lengths that people would go to just to satisfy their selfish interests. If you’re looking for a series to get hooked on, this is the one for you.
