The Gentlemen: A Slick Game of Power and Peril
I have a lot of stuff to do, but I guess my procrastination spirit has set in. Send help guys!! Anyways, I wouldn’t want to bore you so much so let’s skip to the fun part. Just so you know, this series has been one of the most chaotic shows I’ve ever seen so brace yourself.
Eddie, a young man working as a captain far from home suddenly receives a visit on a random day at work from a worker from his home. Apparently his dad was terribly sick and that meant he had to leave work and return home.
Apparently,he was a royal and his dad happened to be a duke. Soon after his arrival back to England where his home and family was, they lost the Duke who happened to be his father. Now, it was time to read the will of the duke and so the family of 5 gathered around while the lawyer read the will left behind.
As it should be, the eldest son usually inherits the family estate and everything it came with and was also in charge of the estate as he was meant to be the next duke. But in this situation, the Dukeship was passed on to the second son, Eddie and this drove his elder brother Freddy nuts. Why because, he had plans to use this opportunity to pay his debts of 8 million dollars to a family of drug lords.
But, the brothers soon found out that their father left little to nothing behind aside some amount of money and the estate. Little did they know they were sitting on a goldmine right in their home. Their father had managed to get into business with the Glass family who were into the weed business and that was apparently how he was able to make the amount of money each year.
Eddie, in his quest to pay his brothers debts and also get the Glass family off their property finds himself and his family hooked up in the dirty drug business trying to navigate their way out. Would Eddie ever be able to free his family from the hands of these drug dealers? You’d have to find out!
Actually, if I’m to rate this show , I’d probably rate it an 11/10 because damn, it was worth the watch. I managed to watch the whole series in just one suiting because why not. I was just eager to know what was going to happen next.
This show dived into the lives of people caught up in nasty situations which they never wanted to. It’s also delved into the importance of family and what goes on the business world.
This show is one I’d recommend to everyone out there.
