When I saw the Cruella trailer.

It's all we had growing up as kids back then. Our tv's only had two channels so if we wanted to be entertained we had to watch tapes. And as kids the only tapes that we had were Disney.

Not that we were complaining as they were the best thing ever. My favorite was robin hood but there wasn't a bad one in the batch. It's great that they are remaking all of them in modern format or with revamped scripts.

• Beauty and the beast.
• Snow white.

They have all been great to watch so when Cruella dropped last year it went straight on the list. It was not the movie I was expecting. A cute family film about Dalmatians and the evil dried up maniac that we all knew and loved form our childhood.

I really enjoyed where they went with it. The movie itself is a strong backstory to Cruella that dives into where she came form and centers around her battle to rise from the streets to the top of the fashion industry. It has hints of the devil wears prada with a sillier side to it.

I won't go into the plot but i did really enjoy the movie.
It was quick and clever.
There were a few throwbacks to the original movies.
Good actors and script.

Well worth the watch for any disney fan or even if you weren't back then.
