What's Your Favorite Scary Movie? (Mine Was Free!)

For the month of October the local movie theater is showing throwback horror movies for free every weekend. I just learned about this last night and the feature was Scream.

The kids were wanting to go but with the R rating they couldn't, so of course my lady and I were volunteered to chaperone. 😆

We got ourselves a giant popcorn bowl and some Pepsi and made our way in.

At one time I would've considered myself a movie buff, these days however I haven't paid much attention. I haven't seen Scream in a very long time and I forgot how stacked the cast was for that movie.

Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy, Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Courtney Cox.. so many more.

And even Henry Winkler!

Classic? Yes!
Quality? Ehhh...

Throughout the film I remembered why I'm not a huge fan of the horror movie genre. Aside from the fact I prefer comedies or historical films, the horror genre can be so cheesy! 😆

I also realized, again, how on point the Wayans Brothers were when they spoofed this movie with Scary Movie.

Even with all that, it was still enjoyable to go watch and enjoy the nice throwback to bring in the spooky season.

The theater will be showing another free movie next weekend, most likely I'll be volunteered for that one too and now I'm kinda excited to see what it will be!
