The Mother and Riverworld Movie Review

Recently I have watched a movie and part 1 of a mini-series that I've never seen before. One new movie "The Mother" and one older movie "Riverworld" (2003). The movies were very different from each other, but I enjoyed them both.

On The Mother, starring Jennifer Lopez, just when you think it's the end of the movie you realize that it's not time yet. There is still a whole another plot to come. Although the movies are not the same, it reminded me a bit of the movie "Peppermint" (starring Jennifer Garner). I'm not sure why but that's what popped into my head while watching it. Anyway, "The Mother" is an excellent movie and I think that anyone that watches it will enjoy it.

"Riverworld" (Yes, Riverworld, not Waterworld, as people keep asking me) is about people from all time periods on Earth that died and all go to an island. Of course, being human, there is a power struggle and leaders will emerge. There is an astronaut from the early 21st century, Nero from the Roman Empire, an African Queen and a bit of a surprise guest that you find out about close to the end. I figured out who he was before they told us so maybe you can also. It was good enough that I will be looking for part 2 and reviewing it also.
I often watch movies and tv series. Most of the ones I watch are ones I've seen already. I rewatch them because either I really liked it or because I forget how it goes (one of the good things about having a bad memory). I will try to watch 2-4 movies per week and give a little review of them. I've kind of got a feeling to watch that "Peppermint" again now. Reason? Because I really liked it.
