The New Mutant, Marvel's Failed Production Film

What do you think is a mutant? A mutant is briefly defined as a being that is physically triggered by a change in the order of a chromosome. For example, a human that has tentacles - like an octopus, a human that can molt like a chameleon, or something else. we think if they are like in x-men, movies produced by Marvel. In 2020. Marvel is also making a movie about mutants, new mutants. However, it failed to make an impression like the last film.

The New Mutants tells the story of five young mutants who are quarantined in a place with a secret facility. The situation begins to change when one of the mutants named Dani joins. Dani didn't know what power he had. During his journey, Dani maintains a powerful nightmare for the other four mutants.

In this film, I questioned many things. Among the films shown at Disney, I think it is quite interesting. However, this film has a lot of inappropriate material. First, usually in movies, mutants often explain the power they have. However, in this film it is quite confusing to describe the power of each of the powers possessed by mutants. One of them, the strength of Illyana. In this line of film, it is not explained. This film only depicts the past trauma of each mutant.

Second, the interactions of the five characters in the film are confusing and inconsistent. Roberto is one of those mutants who is very secretive about the past. Thus, the interactions between mutants are unclear. Sometimes rahne, illyana, sam and roberto are perfect match. But, there was one time, they seemed so foreign to each other. I am confused about the relationship of these five mutants. The other four mutants have been kept in quarantine by the laboratory.

This film from the start, has been defined as a horror film. As director, josh boone has confirmed that this film will be a horror film. This can be seen in the trailer for this film. But it failed. This film fails to bring out the elements of horror. In the trailer, you can see the ghost of the priest Craig or the zombie girlfriend of Roberto. However, their presence was completely predictable. In fact, their presence is so predictable that it fails to dispel as much surprise and anxiety as other horror films.

Compared to other superhero films, there are many interesting action fight scenes with antagonists. but, in this film, very minimal action scenes. A new action scene is shown when a giant monster with a demon bear appears destroying the quarantine site. However, in the fight against monsters only Illyana looks cool. Another mutant, which is very obscure. Also, it creates a lot of drama. One of them, there is a scene that shows Rahne's feelings for Dani. And then, this fight between mutants happened suddenly. I had a hard time catching what the director wanted.

Actually, this film is considered a 20th Century Fox marvel film, The New Mutants should be a very interesting and memorable film. However, this film is a disappointment. The film's repeated delays were not paid off with interesting scenes. High expectations of horror films are not balanced in this film. The confusing plot, uncertain action film and rushed drama, became a film that failed to be produced by Marvel.
