Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are well. Not long ago I discussed a curry, a food that is always present and present every Eid day. My mother used to cook this a lot. But today I tried my version with very minimalist spices.

Yes, this is a type of food that must and must be present every Eid day. But today there are many versions of this food, starting from opor that is added or others. But today I use chicken and eggs as the main ingredients. Curry is a typical Padang food. Many are sold at Padang restaurant vendors.

The main ingredients are goat or beef. Because I live in a very minimalist boarding house and I don't really like beef. Because the cooking process is a bit difficult, so I made this food with chicken and eggs as the basic ingredients.

Then, how to cook and the ingredients, we write below.

Ingredients

  1. A quarter kilogram of chicken
  2. Three chicken eggs

Spices

  1. Instant curry seasoning, I use two tablespoons
  2. Garlic powder, I use one tablespoon
  3. Then, coconut milk powder, I use one tablespoon
  4. Mushroom stock, to taste.

How to make

  1. Boil the eggs until cooked. Maybe about 20 minutes. Then peel them from the shell.
  2. Then, boil the chicken until cooked. After both are cooked, drain.
  3. Boil the water again until cooked and boiling. Add the boiled chicken and eggs. I don't use chicken boiled water. Although they say, it is very tasty to make stock.
  4. Add all the instant spices, except the coconut milk.
  5. After everything is mixed evenly, wait until it boils again. Then, add the coconut milk. Wait until it boils.
  6. No need to wait long, turn off the pan. Oh yeah, I use a listti pan for cooking.
  7. Chicken and egg curry, ready to be served with warm rice.

Is it saucy for this chicken and egg curry, usually the curry is not that lots watery when this curry comes to my mind. Anyway, I think this is delicious and yummy, too.

Chicken and egg are a good combo. I like it because you said minimal seasoning, and this means that the original and true flavor of the dish is retained. :)

a little different, because I use practical instant seasoning

I appreciate how you honored the tradition while making it simpler and more personal with chicken and eggs. This minimalist twist on a classic!

I miss home cooking, but my mother has passed away. So, I can only cook it minimally.

Even if you're cooking just a little now, that connection to her is still there, in every stir and every flavor you recreate.❤️
