Drop movie review, a high tension thriller 💯 (ENG/ESP)

These days it's very hot and especially in the evening I've started watching more movies than TV series, it's a period in which I find many interesting films especially of my favorite genre, the Thriller. Drop came out this year and I was very curious to see it and I must say that it didn't disappoint me at all. The film is about a woman Violet, widowed by a violent man with a young son to take care of. One evening Violet decides to go out with a man she met on a dating app to try to move on with her life. They meet in a very beautiful, modern and particular luxury restaurant, Violet arrives early and decides to have a drink exchanging some words with an older customer who is also anxious about a first date. At a certain point the man of her date arrives, a pleasant and kind photographer named Henry, initially everything seems to proceed calmly, Violet every now and then checks the cell phone that has the cameras connected to her house to monitor what her son is doing with the babysitter, it would seem like a calm date, in one of the most beautiful places in the city with two elegant and beautiful adults who are enjoying a stellar dinner but the reality is different....

During the evening Violet begins to receive strange messages that seem to be a sort of app used by very young people to send each other silly messages and memes, Henry explains to her that it is a very popular app and not to worry, but during dinner the tone of the messages becomes more and more threatening until the sender threatens her son and she sees from the cameras that there is a stranger in the house. From there it will be a spiral of terror and increasingly threatening messages, the sender has only one desire that she poisons Henry at any cost. Throughout the dinner there will be enormous tension, a crescendo of tension very intense and engaging, a thriller of those that certainly do not bore you, not at all predictable and with great suspense. Honestly I was not at all disappointed by the film that in fact I liked it a lot! If you love high tension thrillers I recommend it!!

Es una época en la que encuentro muchas películas interesantes, sobre todo de mi género favorito, el thriller. Drop se estrenó este año y tenía mucha curiosidad por verla, y debo decir que no me decepcionó en absoluto. La película trata sobre Violet, una mujer viuda de un hombre violento con un hijo pequeño al cuidado. Una noche, Violet decide salir con un hombre que conoció en una app de citas para intentar seguir adelante con su vida. Se encuentran en un restaurante de lujo muy bonito, moderno y peculiar. Violet llega temprano y decide tomar una copa, intercambiando algunas palabras con un cliente mayor que también está ansioso por una primera cita. En cierto momento llega el hombre de su cita, un simpático y amable fotógrafo llamado Henry, inicialmente todo parece transcurrir con calma, Violet cada tanto revisa el celular que tiene las cámaras conectadas a su casa para monitorear lo que hace su hijo con la niñera, parecería una cita tranquila, en uno de los lugares más lindos de la ciudad con dos elegantes y hermosos adultos que están disfrutando de una cena estelar pero la realidad es otra....

Por la noche, Violet empieza a recibir mensajes extraños que parecen ser una especie de app usada por jóvenes para enviarse mensajes tontos y memes. Henry le explica que es una app muy popular y que no se preocupe. Sin embargo, durante la cena, el tono de los mensajes se vuelve cada vez más amenazante hasta que el remitente amenaza a su hijo y ella ve por las cámaras que hay un extraño en casa. A partir de ahí, se desata una espiral de terror y mensajes cada vez más amenazantes. El único deseo de la remitente es envenenar a Henry a cualquier precio. Durante la cena habrá una tensión enorme, un crescendo de tensión muy intenso y atrapante, un thriller de esos que no te aburren, nada predecible y con mucho suspense. La verdad es que la película no me decepcionó en absoluto; de hecho, ¡me gustó mucho! Si te gustan los thrillers de alta tensión, ¡te la recomiendo!
