Comedy Sitcom
Comedy, as they say, is better than bottles of liquor because instead of killing you, it helps you stay younger and live longer. In my country, Nigeria, many sitcoms have aired on television as forms of shows, radios, or even live events, but none was my favorite except two: My Flatmates and The Johnson's Family.
After a long day as a student and also trying to get the house in order for dinner, I usually hide the TV's remote just to block the channel so my siblings would not be able to change it.
My flatmates range from the gatekeeper, Prosper, to the landlord, Frank, Willy, Titus, Chief Donatus, etc. These people can actually make a hot boiling kettle freeze with their comedy.Chief Donatus is my favorite character with his never-ending adage that always means nothing to him, always claiming he has money stored in Bangladesh.
Those things always crack me up.One of his adages is usually "my people say a woman goes out while the rain is falling heavily to carry her clothes inside, it means the woman is hungry," with those hilarious statements he was so loved by fans.
The landlord was also not far from the show, giving us something to always smile while I eat dinner with the family.
Even the Johnson family, this family is comedic but family-oriented, from the father of the house, Mr. Lucky Johnson, to the funniest, Spiff.
Nowadays, comedies have transformed from TV's sitcoms to skits that we can watch on TikTok, Facebook, etc., for easy access.
