Hi friends, today I want to write a post about a recently watched episode of a very entertaining series on Netflix called "Abstract". Recently this is my favorite series. I enjoy watching talented people and seeing the results of their work, imagination, and passion of what they do. Each episode is about a certain individual about a certain area of employment. I already wrote a post about the first episode of the first season of this series about Christoph Niemann, illustrator. I like creative professions and that's why I watch this series with much interest and pleasure.

Paula Scher, Graphic Designer

I can freely say that so far, this is my favorite episode (I've only watched 4 episodes:) But I've loved it! Graphic design is my hobby and passion, which I have been doing for about 3 months now. I am very inspired by what Paula is doing.

She lives in New York City with her illustrator husband, who Paula have never worked together with. Each does their own business and tries not to mess with their partner's business. This is the secret of their long and happy marriage.

If we talk specifically about the very work of the talented graphic designer, then she definitely knows how to impress. In her student years during her university studies she attended typography courses, thanks to which she found her specific and unique style. She creates works of unimaginable beauty using different fonts. As Paula stated "my work is my drug".

She works in a large office where she has personal authority among her colleagues and a large number of employees. She loves to go upstairs a couple of floors where her colleagues work and discuss work plans. She also negotiates with clients, gives presentations of work with her team and enjoys her work.

She also showed her current project, a map of the United States that she is hand-drawing with paint. On this map she has written the names of all the states and every town and city. She paints on a huge canvas and thoroughly draws every little detail. She also has a drawn world map, a demographic map of the United States and many other things in her collection.

Once upon a time, when she was just starting her career, she used to do record cover projects as it was very popular at that time. She has worked with many famous music bands who sought commissions from the studio where Paula worked.

Also, she has been working with the London Theatre for many years and developed a personal brand for it, which is now recognizable by everyone. She knows how to get her work done quickly, efficiently and well. And people, in turn, really appreciate it. She has her own little secret - to carry around small notebook and pen and write down all her creative thoughts and ideas, no matter where you are, even if it's in the back seat of a cab.

Friends, I was very impressed after watching this episode and I highly recommend watching this show to those who are interested in creativity.
