The fact that he wrote three successive endings pretty much tells us that nobody really got exactly what he wanted us to 😂.

I do really enjoy this alt ending though. I think it definitely added to the setting and was better than the original anime ending.

Agree! I don't know if it's my favorite but it'd definitely the most cohesive with the themes of the anime
