3 Películas de terror | 3 Horror movies
Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post en el cual les hablaré un poco sobre tres películas de terror que me gustaría recomendarles y que considero que son muy buenas. Hace unos días mi novio y yo recapitulamos las mejores películas de terror que hemos visto, ya que nos pusimos a pensar en todas las que hemos visto en general. A lo largo de nuestra relación hemos vimos DEMASIADAS películas ya que amamos el cine y el género de terror es el que más vemos, hemos visto desde cosas que parecen una genuina broma, a otras que de verdad siento que deben ser vistas por cualquier amante del género de terror, así que hoy les traigo estas películas de las cuales hablaré de su trama sin spoilers, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come to you with a post in which I will tell you a little bit about three horror movies that I would like to recommend to you and that I think are really good. A few days ago my boyfriend and I recapped the best horror movies we've seen, as we got to thinking about all the ones we've seen in general. Throughout our relationship we have seen TOO MANY movies since we love movies and the horror genre is the one we watch the most, we have seen from things that seem like a genuine joke, to others that I really feel that must be seen by any horror genre lover, so today I bring you these movies of which I will talk about their plot without spoilers, let's go!
𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨
Esta películas es la que vi más recientemente y además de parecerme muy peculiar, tiene una trama que te va adentrando poco a poco al terror. Esta película australiana del año 2008 parece un documental que habla de una familia que lidia con la muerte de la hija menor llamada Alice Palmer de 16 años, la cual aparentemente murió ahogada en una presa mientras estaba con su familia. En dicho documental la familia comenta como fue descubrir la muerte de la joven y también entrevistan a amigos y vecinos que ven la situación desde afuera. Ellos sufren aparentemente de apariciones de Alice lo cual afecta ala familia y el documental abarca toda una investigación de la familia y Alice, descubriendo cosas que uno la verdad no se espera. Hay algunas cosas puntuales que me gustaría destacar de la película, la primera es el formato de documental que de verdad parece muy real, de hecho al principio me creí que fuese un documental al estilo de Investigation Discovery, y lo segundo es el hecho de que te va adentrando en esa intriga de que hay algo más no solo en la película, sino entre nosotros y ese terror te lo va insertando poco a poco dentro de ti, de verdad me gustó y la recomiendo ver.
This movie is the one I saw most recently and besides finding it very peculiar, it has a plot that gradually takes you into the terror. This 2008 Australian film looks like a documentary about a family dealing with the death of their youngest daughter Alice Palmer, who was 16 years old and apparently drowned in a dam while she was with her family. In the documentary, the family discusses what it was like to discover the girl's death and also interviews friends and neighbors who see the situation from the outside. They apparently suffer from apparitions of Alice which affects the family and the documentary covers a whole investigation of the family and Alice, discovering things that one does not really expect. There are some specific things that I would like to highlight about the film, the first is the documentary format that really seems very real, in fact at first I thought it was a documentary in the style of Investigation Discovery, and the second is the fact that it takes you into that intrigue that there is something else not only in the film, but among us and that terror is slowly inserting it inside you, I really liked it and I recommend watching it.

Esta película es la más reciente de las tres y aunque al principio no me estaba convenciendo, a lo largo de trama sentí el terror que quería emitir. Este film australiano de 2022 sigue a una chica llamada Mia la cual perdió a su mamá recientemente debido a que se suicidó, terminando al cuidado de su papá. Ella es una chica un poco rara y no va a muchas reuniones, pero su mejor amiga (básicamente hermana) la invita a una donde hacen un estilo de ritual que graban para redes sociales con una mano de cerámica con una procedencia misteriosa, dicho ritual se lleva a cabo tomando la mano de cerámica y diciéndole "háblame", para que luego a la persona le aparezca de frente una persona muerta y este posea el cuerpo de la persona que tomó la mano. Mia es una de las valientes que quiere hacer el ritual y luego de un momento de terror donde Mia poseída le dice repetidamente al hermano menor de su amiga que corra, le quitan la mano, Mia queda maravillada con el ritual. Esto lleva a Mia a un peligroso viaje donde repite varias veces el ritual junto a sus amigos, pero eso termina en graves consecuencias tanto para ella como para sus seres queridos debido a que no sabe lidiar con su pérdida. Esta película está muy bien llevada en mi opinión, cuando te concentras en la trama llega a dar miedo y tiene un final bueno que se puede considerar cíclico, una película que recomiendo.
This film is the most recent of the three and although I wasn't buying into it at first, throughout the plot I felt the terror I wanted to emit. This Australian movie from 2022 follows a girl named Mia who recently lost her mom due to her committing suicide, ending up in the care of her dad. She is a bit of a weird girl and doesn't go to many reunions, but her best friend (basically sister) invites her to one where they do a style of ritual that they capture for social media with a ceramic hand with a mysterious provenance, said ritual is performed by taking the ceramic hand and saying "talk to me", so that then a dead person appears in front of the person and it possesses the body of the person who took the hand. Mia is one of the brave ones who wants to do the ritual and after a moment of terror where Mia repeatedly tells her friend's younger brother to run, her hand is taken away, Mia is amazed by the ritual. This leads Mia on a dangerous journey where she repeats the ritual several times with her friends, but it ends in dire consequences for both her and her loved ones because she does not know how to deal with her loss. This movie is very well handled in my opinion, when you concentrate on the plot it becomes scary and has a good ending that can be considered cyclical, a movie that I recommend.
𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐮𝐭
Esta es una de las películas de terror que más me ha gustado tanto a mí como a mi novio. Esta película estadounidense estrenada en 2016 comienza en lo que parece ser un almacén donde una trabajadora ve una extraña figura cada vez que apaga las luces, ella intenta advertirle a su compañero Paul de lo que vio pero él no hace caso, a lo que al apagarse las luces el hombre es atrapado y asesinado por dicha figura. Luego de esto conocemos a la protagonista (hijastra de Paul) llamada Rebecca que se encuentra con su novio Brett con el que tiene una relación que no parece ser seria, pero Brett se la toma muy en serio. La mamá de Rebecca, Sophie aparentemente tiene una grave enfermedad mental que hace que hable con una supuesta amiga que no existe, además de una fuerte depresión debido a la repentina muerte de su esposo y con estas alucinaciones cuida a su hijo pequeño y hermano de Rebecca, Martin. Una noche Martin descubre que dicha amiga de su madre es una figura aterradora y no puede dormir, por lo que Rebecca pensando que es que su madre está siendo negligente, se lleva a su hermano a su apartamento a pesar de las súplicas de su madre.
This is one of the horror movies that I and my boyfriend liked the most. This American film released in 2016 begins in what seems to be a warehouse where a worker sees a strange figure every time she turns off the lights, she tries to warn her partner Paul of what she saw but he pays no attention, to which when the lights go out the man is trapped and killed by said figure. After this we meet the protagonist (Paul's stepdaughter) named Rebecca who meets her boyfriend Brett with whom she has a relationship that doesn't seem to be serious, but Brett takes it very seriously. Rebecca's mother, Sophie apparently has a serious mental illness that makes her talk to a supposed friend that does not exist, in addition to a strong depression due to the sudden death of her husband and with these hallucinations she takes care of her young son and Rebecca's brother, Martin. One night Martin discovers that his mother's friend is a terrifying figure and cannot sleep, so Rebecca, thinking that her mother is being negligent, takes her brother to her apartment despite her mother's supplications.
A partir de aquí Rebecca y Martin parecen ser perseguidos por una figura fantasmal cada vez que se apagan las luces, lo cual incrementa el trauma de Martin por la oscuridad, esto lleva a Rebecca y a Brett intentando descubrir que es lo que realmente está pasando, ya que a pesar de su escepticismo, parece haber algo más allá de su entendimiento con el que tendrán que lidiar y poder salvar a su familia, principalmente a Sophie. Esta película me parece muy buena, puede caer en uno que otro cliché, sin embargo abarca muy bien todo el ambiente tétrico que pretende dar al espectador, además de trabajar muy bien en el espectro que se alimenta de la mente de Sophie, su miedo, dudas y tristeza. Es una película que recomiendo bastante ya que cumple con dar miedo.
From here Rebecca and Martin seem to be haunted by a ghostly figure every time the lights go out, which increases the trauma of Martin by the darkness, this leads to Rebecca and Brett trying to figure out what is really going on, because despite his skepticism, there seems to be something beyond their understanding with which they will have to deal and save his family, mainly Sophie. This film seems very good to me, it may fall into one or another cliché, however it covers very well all the gloomy atmosphere it intends to give to the viewer, besides working very well in the specter that feeds on Sophie's mind, her fear, doubts and sadness. It is a film that I highly recommend as it satisfies to be scary.

Estas películas de terror han sido las que más me han gustado, aunque hay otras de las que hablaré más adelante ya que si hablo de todas las películas que enlistamos mi novio y yo, haría un post excesivamente largo. Estas tres seleccionadas hoy me gustaron mucho y generaron miedo en mí, ya que sus historias causan ese efecto. Aunque soy algo miedosa, hay películas cuyas tramas me parecen muy pobres y me quitan el miedo, pero estas hacen que sientas el miedo de manera progresiva y eso me gusta. These horror movies have been the ones I liked the most, although there are others that I will talk about later because if I talk about all the movies that my boyfriend and I listed, it would make an excessively long post. These three selected today I really liked and caused fear in me, since their stories cause that effect. Although I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat, there are movies whose plots seem very poor to me and take away my fear, but these make you feel the fear in a progressive way and I like that. La única que he visto es cuando las luces se apagan y de verdad que en ese momento no quería estar en la oscuridad. Buena.
Sí, es una película inmersiva y hace que le tengas miedo a la oscuridad por un momento!
Aún sigo pensando que para mí y en mi opinión la mejor película de terror es The Thing tanto la original de los años 80 como el remake más reciente.
Oh, esa no la he visto, la anotaré en mi lista de películas por ver! Aún hay muchas películas de terror que me faltan ver conocer.
No tenía idea de que Lights Out fuera una buena película, la descarté porque pensé que era algo genérica, sin embargo, suena bastante aterradora. De las dos primeras me gustó mucho Talk to me, me sorprendió la premisa, para ser una película tan nueva la supieron hacer muy bien.
Yo la vi por recomendación de mi novio y no me decepcionó, de hecho cuando la terminamos de ver con todas las luces apagadas me dio miedo levantarme para ir al baño jajaja. En parte sí tiene algunos clichés pero la consideré inmersiva y que poco a poco te profundiza en ese miedo a la oscuridad, lo cual me gustó!
