Final Destination : Bloodlines - A choice between life and survival (Movie Review)
I finally found the time, out of my very hectic schedule to watch a movie, and that movie just displayed glaringly how much, so many people underrate the gift of life. This movie is the sixth in it's series and after watching, it has no reason to not be my favourite. Read on, while I review Final Destination: Bloodlines.
Synopsis When Steph is suspended from school, due to a disturbing vision she's been having, involving her grandmother's past, she is forced to make contact with her estranged grandmother, against the will of her father, and uncle. She meets her grandmother, who informs her of the cycle of death coming for every one of them. Her grandmother and uncle's gruesome deaths are the first two telling signs.
After the deaths, Stef and other members of the family try to ward off the remaining deaths but as is typical of the movie titled Final Destination, there is only one thing to do - live the rest of your days to the fullest.
Now, I watched the first five releases in the Final Destination series and although I enjoyed them when I watched them, I couldn't help the underlying thought that I was always left with - Why make a movie where everyone runs from death, but still ends up dying? I watched it release after release, with a tad bit of hope, that someone would end up escaping but sadly, that has never been, and doesn't seem to ever be.
I love this particular release in the Final Destination more, probably because the message in this one was passed clearly - Live. As is typical of it's predecessors, death always comes for everyone no matter how hard they try to fight against it. They worked so hard, running away from death, protecting their future. A future which they did not have. As weird as it sounds, this movie inspired me. I'd been in a really dark place this past few weeks but seeing this movie, opened my eyes as to why I should appreciate life more. I'm glad.
This one seemed to offer a fresh perspective on everything it's predecessors portrayed, and I liked it. It didn't just revolve around friends, or random people. Rather family. Our main character, Stef, was actually a strong character and I liked her for it. Even when others thought her crazy, due to her theories, she worked so hard to prove herself right. I admired her actually.
Of course in a movie like this, there'd always be that one character. Steph's aunt was the annoying character here. She held a secret that could have helped us understand things better but decided to keep it till it was too late. She pissed me off actually. it was a relief to see her out of the picture as soon as it was possible.
I really enjoyed this movie - from the suspense, to the gore, to the cinematography. If you're a fan of the other final Destination releases, you should check this one out. It definitely doesn't disappoint. I'll rate this movie an 8/10. Worth my time and more.
Thanks for reading.

I keep seeing reviews of this movie but yours is the only one that speaks on appreciation of life. I guess movie makers now find a new way to send messages using very explicit content. Great review, sweetheart.
Thank you so much. That's actually why I love this one a lot. It took thr term edutainment, quite literally.
In movies with episodes such as this, the content of it all comes clear in the last episodes such as this.
