For this week Creative Sunday, I will be presenting a song: Cups (when I'm gone) by Anna Kendrick. This is a soundtrack from the Movie: pitch perfect.

The song meaning

This song to my understanding is a song that expresses longing for companionship, friendship and connection with a love one. Although in this context of this song; it expresses the singer's departure from a place, and how she is missing someone that has always been with her, she long to bring her friends along because she is sure they are all going to miss her.
I think in another context She was missing them too already, I think this is why she keeps telling Her friends that Her journey will be filled with a lot of fun and Awesome views, she wanted her friends to be there to enjoy with Her.

What really motivated me to present this song?

Today in church, a part of me is missing someone so dear to Me, not because the person is no more here but because He will soon go and I am already missing him.
He was my pastor in the church I attended here in Benue,
Although There have been many pastors that came to Head our Church here but He and His family have been so dear to me.
He took me like a son, he mentored and corrected with love, His wife will always check on me, they always show concerns for my wellbeing and spiritual growth.
In all the pastors I came in contact with, Pastor Alexander has a special love for God and he tries hard to bring the church closer to God in preaching and works but sadly some of the members of the church don't see this, instead they fight him and complains about him doing too much.

Finally on Friday morning, Pastor Alexander called me that He was being transferred out of Town to a Better place in the city. I was happy for Him but I know I would really miss him, the feeling is just like missing a family member so close to me.
This was what prompted me to present this song; Cups by Anna Kendrick: I will truly miss him.
