Saludos mis queridos cinéfilos; hoy dejamos un poco de lado la onda retro de los 80 y 90, porque en esta oportunidad nos adentramos en el género del terror, claro que esta película que será reseñada contiene un poco de humor el cual no interfiere en los hechos terroríficos. Para los amantes del terror puro, este filme no pudiera asustar mucho, sin embargo, dependiendo del grado de sensibilidad del público, les aseguro que cualquiera sentirá la tensión esperada en el transcurrir de cada segundo de la película. Y es que nos referimos a la cinta Arrastrame al Infierno; un filme que si bien es cierto, toma el ritmo de la trilogía Posesión Infernal; serie que fue catalogada como un película de terror, culto, y humor negro del cine b; también presenta serios avancen que la hacen una cinta fácil de digerir, además de que entretiene, y deja ese sabor de una película que se puede ver una y otra vez. Este filme fue dirigido por el polifacético Sam Raimi, aquel como mencioné, creador de la trilogía Posesión Infernal de los años 80; y aunque no tuvo un éxito rotundo, sentó las bases para que se consolidara como uno de los genios del cine de terror grotesco. A lo mejor no lo conoces mucho por esas películas, sin embargo, si lo conoces por su fama en la dirección de la primera trilogía de Spiderman. Ahora, con esta película de Arrastrame al Infierno, este director, que también ha participado en sus películas como actor, escritor, y productor, vuelve a lo que realmente es su esencia, y aunque parezca un cine tipo B, aquí demuestra que ha avanzado, por lo que nos presenta ese aspecto grotesco y de terror un poco gracioso. Es válido mencionar que la película fue escrita por el mismo Sam Raimi, conjuntamente con Ivan Raimi. Fue estrenada en el año 2009, contando con un presupuesto de 30 millones de dólares, recaudando un poco más de 90 millones en taquilla, fue expuesta en el Festival de Cannes representando un éxito en cuanto a crítica. En cuanto a las actuaciones principales tenemos a Alison Lohman, quien encarna a la bella Christine Brown; ésta actriz no es muy conocida, salvo por sus actuaciones en las películas Big Fish 2003, y Flicka en 2006; sin embargo, aquí demostró saber lo que hace. Por otro lado vemos a Justin Long, quien representa al profesor Clayton Dalton, también novio de Christine; este actor si posee una amplia trayectoria tanto en películas como series. Por lo menos en mi caso, he disfrutado muchas de sus cintas entre ellas Jeepers Creepers 2001, Herbie 2005, y aquella macabra película Tusk, donde este joven es convertido en una morsa, que horror. Y el centro de atracción o generadora de la trama Lorna Raver, la bruja gitana Sylvia Ganush. Claro está que existen otros personajes que podrás disfrutar a lo largo de la película.

La cinta inicia afirmando lo macabro y peligroso que es La Lamia, además de adentrarnos un poco en lo que posiblemente podemos ver a continuación, claro está sin desnudar la esencia de la trama. Pasando el tiempo, se nos presenta a Christine, una bella joven que trabaja en una institución bancaria, es talentosa y con un posible ascenso que es lo que más desea. Tiene una relación con su novio Clayton, todo va viento en popa ya que está segura de ascender, además de que su boda está próxima, que más se puede pedir. Sin embargo, toda trama debe seguir su curso, y por ende aparecen los personajes que generan todo aquello que puede ocurrir dentro de ella. Y es allí donde aparece la señora Sylvia Ganush, quien está a punto de perder su casa a manos del banco, por lo que acude para solicitar una nueva prórroga.
Por un momento el corazón de Christine tiende a ablandarse, por lo que habla con su jefe quien le dice que ésta es la oportunidad de demostrar que tanto desea ese ascenso. En torno a ello, la bella e inocente joven niega la prórroga de la hipoteca, y aun presenciando las súplicas de la anciana, la respuesta es no, y es allí donde inicia el calvario de terror de Christine quien ha recibido una terrible maldición, maldición que al principio le causa un poco de temor, pero piensa que ya todo ha pasado; aja, sin embargo no es así, porque si quieres saber a quien arrastran al infierno, te invito a disfrutar de esta cinta, y si eres sensible, agárrate del sillón.

En realidad, y lo expreso desde mi perspectiva, éste es un filme que disfrutamos desde el inicio, donde las acciones pasan del terror a la gracioso, sin que ninguno de estos puntos entorpezca al otro. Podemos verla una, dos, tres, o diez veces, pero jamás dejaremos de divertirnos o asustarnos con sus escenas de terror y su inesperado final. Lo cierto es que Raimi como dueño del guión y dirección, nos puso en el tapete un preámbulo, aunque breve, asusta y nos introduce en las acciones venideras. Además de que con total fluidez y magistralidad presenta a todos sus personajes.
Si nos vamos a las escenas de terror, para mí, las mismas son fabulosas, están bien rodadas, inquietan al público y cumplen su cometido. Lo importante, es que cada una de esas escenas son totalmente diferentes, una con respeto a la otra. De verdad que nos sentimos en total tensión con esta combinación de terror y humor negro, hasta el momento en que el personaje trata de librarse de la maldición. Aquí el director ha metido en la licuadora todas esas ideas que parecen comunes como demonios, maldiciones, exorcismos, y todo lo que se le parezca, para crear un guión donde cada pieza del rompecabezas encaja perfectamente durante toda la trama, claro está que sin las buenas actuaciones de los personajes, ningún guión podría tomar vida; y en este caso, el reparto demostró saber muy bien lo que hacían.

If we go to the horror scenes, for me, they are fabulous, they are well shot, they disturb the audience and they do their job. The important thing is that each of these scenes are totally different, one with respect to the other. We really feel in total tension with this combination of terror and black humor, until the moment when the character tries to get rid of the curse. Here the director has put in the blender all those ideas that seem common as demons, curses, exorcisms, and everything that resembles it, to create a script where each piece of the puzzle fits perfectly throughout the plot, of course without the good performances of the characters, no script could come to life; and in this case, the cast proved to know very well what they were doing.
Con respecto a los personajes, puedo decir, que aunque la anciana no aparece mucho en escena, cada momento de su actuación fue de alta factura, de verdad que si a mí me aparece una señora de ese estilo y en ese plan, lógicamente que el corazón se me sale del pecho. Buena actuación de Lorna, la señora Sylvia Ganush. Sin embargo, a pesar de no ser muy conocida en el medio, el desenvolvimiento de Alison Lohman en el papel de Christine Brown, ha sido de muy alta calidad. ¿Por qué?, sencillamente, porque el guión está centrado casi en su totalidad en ella, y en su constante búsqueda de salvación, teniendo que llevar la actriz todo el peso de la trama con ella, ejecutando cada acción con mucha soltura y naturalidad. Las actuaciones de Justin en cada una de sus obras son muy buenas, y aquí, aunque resulta ser una persona controlada e incrédula, ha sabido llevar la trama.
Solo esperemos que no te toque La Lamía amigo mío, porque no le recomiendo a nadie que se meta con otras personas sin conocerlas, nadie sabe el arte que tiene cada quien, y nadie sabe como puede actuar esa persona al sentirse dolida, rechazada, o abandonada, cuando lo que hace es solicitar un poco de ayuda. Por otro lado, muchos piensan que para escalar posiciones deben pasar por encima de los demás, pues no es así, y en esta película se demuestra lo que puede suceder, a lo mejor no creas en maldiciones, pero si te digo, de que vuelan, vuelan; y los resultados no pueden ser muy favorables que digamos.

Vaya han pasado los años desde que vi esta película que sin ofender y nada por el estilo ha sido un total chiste super cargado con escenas saturadas de mal CGI aunque tengo el pensamiento que para la época no era de lo mejor en tecnología pero señores ese en ocasiones me sacaba de onda.
la única escena que me gusto fue la los gusanos ya que fue real la escena del resto es para el olvido, eso si repito es mi opinión personal. Aun así sirve como entretenimiento sin darse mala vida lo que pasa es que cuando la vi yo buscaba era algo de terror.

Le tengo ganas, Raimi ha estado recobrando mucha relevancia últimamente y este siempre surge como uno de sus trabajos más interesantes, ví un par de clips en Youtube (De su final, que aparentemente es bastante desgarrador aunque sin contexto no me afectó, jaja) y llamó mi atención.
Así es hermano, es un filme interesante. Para los que les gusta el terror puro, a lo mejor no le es muy atractiva. Pero en mi caso la veo y me gusta.

Raimi regreso a sus inicios con este film, sabia que sus seguidores que cautivo por el genero de horror, querían ver algo similar a lo que hizo a principios de su carrera y que llamo la atención de los grandes estudios que después lo contratarían. Hay que tomarlo como lo que es, un producto para divertirse y no tomárselo mucho en serio. Me encanta la etapa de horror de este cineasta. ¿Llegaste a ver Darkman? el protagonista fue Liam Neeson cuando no era una súper estrella. otra genial peli de este Raimi.
Así es hermano, una película para divertirse, y para aquellos que se asustan por todo, esta les da ese gusto. Si claro, Darkman me gustó mucho, se me pasó por alto incluirla en el post. Esta película es muy entretenida, combina a la perfección el terror, lo sobrenatural y el humor negro, Para nada pierde su esencia terrorífica pese a tener algunas escenas algo pintorescas.
