Operation Napoleon. Many times we think that good stories and movies come only from Hollywood, so we leave aside films that originate in other latitudes. This is the case of a movie that I just enjoyed and it really left a good taste in my mouth; it is a story created in Iceland and Germany; and I tell you, from my point of view it is a total cinematic gem. Besides; it is a plot that combines suspense, action, drama, adventure and thriller in a single package; maybe this is the reason why I loved watching it and enjoyed it from beginning to end. I'm talking about Operation Napoleon; a film with a fast-paced plot, which by its constant intrigue draws us into its story in a fantastic way. On the other hand; the story is based on the book by Arnaldur Indriðason, which bears the same name.
The direction of this work was under the lens of Óskar Þór Axelsson, a specialist in creating suspenseful climaxes, so I think it was not difficult for him to adapt the book to the big screen. The environment where the story takes place, has in the background the fabulous frozen landscapes of Iceland; which makes the viewer feel in a deserted world full of danger, implying that we have a lot of empathy with the protagonists; for me, the landscape plays an important role in the plot, making it another character, where beauty is combined with death, tradition and conspiracy.
A plot that begins with a few young people, on a simple adventure trip through the desert snow of Iceland, who could never imagine encountering an object dating from the Second World War. This encounter generates fateful situations and is the catalyst for the development of a plot of dangers and persecutions. This leads to a famous lawyer; as a result of the discovery made by the young people, including his brother; is immersed in a conspiracy of international scope related to the ancient object; a plane of the Second World War, whose crew members died and preserved by the cold, keep a secret that could change the history of the world.

In that sense; from my point of view, the protagonists are too convincing and are the powerful bases to make the film worth enjoying every second of its development. Vivian Ólafsdóttir who plays the lawyer Kristin; has a perfect mix of participation, her drama, her weaknesses before the facts, her wit, her strength and above all, the sense of resilience that makes her overcome all obstacles. We cannot leave out the participation of Iain Glen (William Carr); who gives the film a lot of strength and credibility in the actions he undertakes. As mentioned before, the plot centers on the encounter with the plane, which is the key to a mystery that some want to discover for their own benefit, but others want it to save their lives. That is why Kristin begins a constant search for that hidden truth; not only to discover it, but to save her reputation, her life and that of her family. All this leads her to live moments of adventure, tension, emotion and a lot of danger; she is my heroine and takes the plot to its maximum level. The truth is that the pace of the story is extremely fast and keeps us always attentive to what could happen; I say this because each event leads us to new clues that reveal a secret; a secret that gives an unexpected twist and leads us to other assertijos. It is definitely a puzzle, where every little piece is extremely important to take us to another level; it is simply a thriller of an international nature that will leave you frozen.

Definitivamente es un rompecabezas, donde cada pequeño pedazo es sumamente importante para llevarnos a otro nivel; sencillamente es un thriller de indole internacional que te dejará helado.
