47 meters under and uncaged

I watched this some years back, and it went without me knowing the name. Now, fast forward to recent time and I casually stumbled upon the movie again.

‎You know how so fast something can from good to bad and how not everything is as it seems? That's literally how this movie is like. I loved the idea, I loved the acting and I just love how it had a very deceiving font at the beginning. It's a thriller movie I think, cause it made my toes curls and not in a good way;).

‎And I realized I watched the sequel first instead of the first movie. The first movie is 47 metres down and the second movie is, 47 metres down: Uncaged. We'll be talking about the second movie, as it's what I saw;)

‎The movie, 47 Metres Down: Uncaged, follows four girls: Mia, her stepsister Sasha, and their friends Nicole and Alexa. Mia feels out of place most of the time. She is quieter, less confident, and often overshadowed by Sasha, who seems to fit in everywhere. The two of them never really got along, but on this trip they end up together with Sasha’s friends.

‎Instead of doing something safe, the group decides to explore an underwater Mayan city that Mia and Sasha’s father is studying. At first, it feels like an adventure. The ruins are strange and beautiful, the water is calm, and the thrill of sneaking around makes the girls laugh. For Mia, it feels good to finally be part of something instead of standing on the outside.

‎Everything turns when a section of the ruins collapses behind them, cutting off their way back to the surface. The fun disappears instantly. They are trapped deep underwater with only a limited supply of air. Fear creeps in as their tanks begin to run low. The ruins are like a maze and every wrong turn takes them farther from escape.

‎Then they realize they are not alone. The caves are home to sharks that have adapted to the darkness. They are blind, pale, and quick, and soon the girls are fighting to stay alive. The sharks move silently through the ruins, forcing the group to swim harder, hide in tight spaces, and make desperate choices. Some of them do not make it out.

‎For Mia and Sasha, the nightmare changes their relationship. They begin the day as stepsisters who barely speak, but as the danger grows, they are forced to trust each other. Their survival depends on it. When they finally break into open water, it feels like freedom for only a moment. The sharks follow them out, leading to one last struggle where the sisters have no choice but to fight together or be taken under.

‎Hope you guys ike my story(their story)? After searching about the movie, I discovered it was a shark horror/ thriller movie. That makes so much sense now.

‎It' a a great watch and you'd definitely like it if you don't have a problem with seeing blood.

‎Thanks for reading.
