[ENGLISH]
Hi to y'all anime watchers, manga readers and yes anime lovers. I'm bringing a review of the anime "Jujustu Kaisen" to your screens. Now I'm here to talk about the ongoing season two of the anime. I'm pretty sure a huge amount of you guys have heard, watched and read the anime/ manga and people get bored seeing the same thing on their screens. Now, I wouldn't want you to get bored of me when you haven't even heard what I have to say. But you'll forgive me please, cause I have to at least start with the origin of the anime before I take a huge leap to the second season.

Jujustu Kaisen(呪術廻戦) which means "Sorcery battle" is a shonen anime based on a manga(with the same name obvi) written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. The series was produced by MAPPA and directed by Sunghoo Park. Its genre is Adventure, Supernatural and Dark Fantasy.
Jujustu Kaisen is an anime that entails sorcerers eliminating curses.

Source

In an interview with Tite Kubo,it was revealed that Gege was inspired by three different series which are Bleach, HunterXHunter and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
I haven't watched the last three but I can give some instances on how Gege was inspired by the anime "Bleach".

Source

The anime Bleach have similar enemies to curses which are called hollows. Hollows are born from humans who habour negative thoughts which includes regrets, revenge, etc.
When cursed energy leaks out from humans(non socerers) as a result of haboring negative emotions or thought, this cursed energy materializes and that's how curses are created.

Okay, now that we're done with all that. Jujustu Kaisen Season Two! It started airing July 6,2023. Currently, we're at episode 16.

Source

Jujustu Kaisen Season 2 adapts the arcs, "Hidden Inventory/ Premature Death" which talks about Gojo's past and it's a pre-sequel for Jujustu Kaisen 0 and "Shibuya Incident".

The first five episodes of Jujustu Kaisen showed us the story between Gojo Saturo and Geto Suguru, their friendship and how they fell out. Gojo Saturo was part of the Gojo clan and possessed the six eyes. Now there's this question that many fans of JJK ask.
Why does Gojo keep his eyes covered?

Source

Well,Gojo will experience great fatigue if his eyes are uncovered for long. Thus, covering his eyes is a way to conserve and maintain stable energy daily.

Now,you all didn't ask this but Geto Suguru's my favourite character. I just like his character writing and I kind of related to him in multiple ways.

Source

Moving forward to Shibuya arc. It's a gruesome and emotional arc and I'm sorry if Yuji's your favourite character because you will experience pain. I don't appreciate spoilers and I wouldn't want to spoil this season for those that haven't started watching season 2 yet so I'll just say a few things about this arc. The Shibuya arc premiered on the 31st of August 2023. The Shibuya arc has a lot of blood shed,a lot of deaths and yes, Gege is not a nice person(I'm sorry but why does he hate his characters?).

Source

So far, I'll give the season a solid 10/ 10!! I love the fact the anime is being realistic like when certain characters, in a particular situation are meant to die, they actually die.

Source

There's this feature I've noticed in most anime fans and that's their wild ability to argue and support their favourite character till the very end. The anime society is toxic, I'm sorry but in a beautiful way though and I'm glad I got to be part of the society.
Waiting for the next episode patiently cause of the uprise that's going on within MAPPA and I'll encourage fans to please be patient.

You wouldn't want to be delivered shitty animation of a really good anime just because of some greedy and impatient people, would you?

Thanks for reading.

without a doubt the second season has been an expert in destroying the emotional stability of the fans, since the appearance of Amanai I knew that this season would be like an Akame Ga kill 2.0 hahahaha and there is still a lot more to come.

I haven't finished watching the 1st season yet. The opening of the 1st season was also amazing to me. As per the review, the season seems more interesting. Then I have to watch it must. Thank you for a nice review.

avatar

Yes yes, please do!
But I feel the second season was way more interesting!
And yes, hope you watched the movie before the season 1!!?
It's meant to come in this order, JJK the movie, season 1 and then season 2.
During my time,I didn't watch the movie first and it was a real bummer

I didn't like this anime as much as Kimetsu No Yaiba, that is, it is far from being among my favorites. This is because the series has a few episodes where they talk too much. The only reason why I keep watching it but I'm waiting for it to finish to see the complete second season is because of the fight scenes, they are outstanding, as well as the realism with which the characters are portrayed. But I think there are better series than this one. That is an excellent post! from a true fan XD

Aye aye Captain.. likewise. I wouldn't categorize this anime as one of my best. Indeed it's a peak anime mainly because of its amazing fight scenes.
Thanks for stopping by,I really appreciate 🫶
