Jason and the Argonauts of 1963.
Introduction:
First of all cordial greetings to the community of Cine Tv, in this contest we have an interesting time, more when the new movies that have been rebooted in Hollywood, for the most part, have been a failure. In my opinion these failures have been due to a very bad handling of the script and the exaggeration of the special effects, in reboots like Ben Hur or Poseidon, that even with all the current technology, have not been able to reach the same quality and the same impact as the original movies.
The movie I would give a reboot to:
If there is one movie I would give a reboot to it would be "Jason and the Argonauts", the reason is the following.
"Jason and the Argonauts" is a great Greek epic where we have all the elements to make a great movie, in it there are elements of faith, love, revenge, adventure, fantasy, morality, friendship and companionship.
The original movie of "Jason and The Argonauts" is from 1963, although I thought it was an American movie, when I read about it after watching it again, I found out that it was a British movie in union with the Americans.
But despite being a film of the early sixties and having special effects that today we could call basic, it is still an interesting film and worth seeing.
The movie "Jason and the Argonauts" is based on the search for the mythical "Golden Fleece" undertaken by Jason with the favor of the gods of Olympus, using the ship Argos and with an enviable crew, where many of the mythological heroes of Greece participate, among them and the first that comes to mind is Hercules.
After the movie, there was a television series in 2000 of "Jason and the Argonauts", and although it could have been a very impacting series, it was not and I think the problem was the same, a very bad handling of the script, which is seen from the first scene of the series.
Reasons to make the reboot of the movie:
I opine that this movie, with a well worked script, would be wonderful to see, more with the new technologies that allow the realization of stunning special effects on the screen, it would be very interesting to see how with the new technologies create a "Talos" The bronze guardian of the treasure of the gods and of how this one, with better and bigger movements chases the crew of the Argos.
Also, I would like to see the scene, when Jason and his men catch the Harpies. As well as one of the most impressive scenes of the original film, when Poseidon stops with his hands two cliffs so that the Argos can pass with its crew and thus fulfill its mission.
Finally, I would really like to see Jason's confrontation with the Seven-headed Hydra and the skeleton warriors born from the Hydra's teeth.
In short, I think that at the level of special effects, the film would have a lot to give, thus being able to be a film of a wide visual impact.
The most important thing not to neglect the screenplay:
Many of the reboots of films or old classics, end up being a failure, since many scripts are neglected and special effects are privileged, it is a mistake that we are constantly seeing in Hollywood and that far from being corrected is repeated constantly.
If the film is made again, it should have a very good handling of the script, especially in the first scenes that introduce the viewer into the plot of the film.
The script, by far, must maintain the elements that made "Jason and the Argonauts" a universal classic, otherwise, the reboot of the film would be destined to fail, just as it has happened with many of the classic films that have been attempted to be rebooted.
In fact, in my country we don't call these types of movies that have been rebooted, we call them "rehashes", since they are movies that, in the reboot, lose all the substance and impact of the originals, but above all, because of the poor handling of the scripts and the exaggeration of the special effects.

Introducción:
Antes que nada cordiales saludos a la comunidad de Cine Tv, en este concurso tenemos un rato interesante, más cuando las nuevas películas a las que han hecho un reinicio en Hollywood, en su mayoría, han sido un fracaso. A mi criterio estos fracasos han sido por un muy mal manejo del guion y por la exageración de los efectos especiales, en reinicios como el de la película Ben Hur o Poseidon, que aún con toda la tecnología actual, no han sido capaces de llegar a tener la mima calidad y el mismo impacto que las películas originales.
La película a la que le haría un reinicio:
Si hay una película a la que yo le hiciera un reinicio sería a “Jasón y los Argonautas”, la razón es la siguiente.
“Jasón y los Argonautas” es una gran epopeya griega donde tenemos todos los elementos para hacer una gran película, en ella hay elementos de fe, amor, venganza, aventura, fantasía, moral, amistad y compañerismo.
La película original de “Jasón y Los Argonautas” es del año de 1963, aunque pensé que era película estadounidense, al leer sobre ella después de volver a verla, me entere de que era una película británica en unión con los estadounidenses.
Pero a pesar, de ser una película del inicio de la década de los sesenta y de tener efectos especiales que hoy en día podríamos llamar básicos, no deja de ser una película interesante y digna de ver.
La película “Jasón y los Argonautas” se basa en la búsqueda del mítico “Vellocino de Oro” emprendida por Jasón con el favor de los dioses del Olimpo, usando el navío Argos y con una tripulación envidiable, donde participan muchos de los héroes mitológicos de Grecia, entre ellos y el primero que me vienen a la mente es Hércules.
Después de la película, hubo una serie televisiva del año 2000 de “Jasón y los Argonautas”, y aunque pudo ser una serie muy impactante, la misma no lo fue y creo que el problema fue el mismo, un muy mal manejo del guion, lo cual se ve desde la primera escena de la serie.
Razones para hacer el reinicio de la película:
Opino que esta película, con un guion bien trabajado, sería maravillosa de ver, más con las nuevas tecnologías que permiten la realización de efectos especiales impactantes en la pantalla, sería muy interesante ver como con las nuevas tecnologías crean a un “Talos” El guardián de bronce del tesoro de los dioses y de como este, con mejores y mayores movimientos persigue a la tripulación del Argos.
También, me gustaría ver la escena, cuando Jasón y sus hombres atrapan a las Arpías. Al igual que una de las escenas más impactantes de la película original, que se da cuando Poseidón detiene con sus manos dos acantilados para que pase el Argos con su tripulación y así pueda cumplir con su misión.
Finalmente, me gustaría mucho ver el enfrentamiento de Jasón, con la Hidra de Siete Cabezas y con los esqueletos guerreros, nacidos de los dientes de la Hidra.
En fin, creo que a nivel de efectos especiales, la película tendría mucho que dar, pudiendo ser así una película de un amplio impacto visual.
Lo más importante no descuidar el guion:
Muchos de los reinicios de las películas o clásicos antiguos, terminan siendo un fracaso, ya que se descuidan muchos los guiones y se privilegian los efectos especiales, es un error que constantemente estamos viendo en Hollywood y que lejos de corregirse se repite de manera constante.
De volverse a realizar la película, la misma debería tener un muy buen manejo del guion, sobre todo en las primeras escenas que son las que introducen al espectador dentro de la trama de la película.
El guion, por mucho, debe mantener los elementos que hicieron de “Jasón y los Argonautas” un clásico universal, de no hacerlo así, el reinicio de la película estaría destinada al fracaso, al igual que ha pasado con muchas de las películas clásicas a las que se les ha intentado hacer un reinicio.
De hecho, a este tipo de películas, a las que se les hacen reinicios fallidos, en mi país no le decimos reinicio, sino que les decimos “refritos”, ya que son películas que, en el reinicio, pierden toda la sustancia y el impacto de las originales, pero sobre todo, por el mal manejo de los guiones y la exageración de los efectos especiales.

También me encantaría un reboot así, como lo expones, ya que la mitología es tan loca que no sigue una línea de tiempo lineal, mas con las nuevas tecnologías, conocer mas de este relato sería sorprendente! Gracias por compartir!

Buenas noches, de verdad que sí, sería muy buena una nueva visión de los clásicos, pero sin la visión modernista que privilegia los efectos antes que el guion, sería bien interesante ver películas equilibradas, con unos guiones bien ricos en diálogos y con argumentos sólidos.
Esperemos algún día se animen.
Realmente si, las animaciones antiguas aunque sean sencillas y algunas hasta bizarras, tienen un nivel de encanto que a veces se hace insuperable. Jajaja.

En realidad, creo que el problema es la mentalidad de los productores, creo que privilegian el impacto visual a través de los efectos especiales y se olvidan de los guiones que son el alma de la película.
El día que hagan un proceso equilibrado, respetando ambas particularidades y dando el peso que realmente merecen y sumando buenas actuaciones, creo que van a tener un éxito de taquilla.
Pero esto nos permite ver también, como la industria del entretenimiento ve a la sociedad y lo que cree que le gusta y la respuesta de una sociedad a esas visiones, de hecho creo que sería muy interesante hacer un estudio a nivel sociológico y comunicacional de esos casos de fracasos que ya podemos catalogar como refritos.

A remake of Jason and the Argonauts would be interesting, especially with modern animation techniques (and I am a Ray Harryhausen fan). The story itself is fairly timeless as it involves ancient history and mythology blended together, and there are a few contemporary actors that would be great in a remake (yes, Jason Momoa comes to mind). I am not familiar with the series from 2000, I'll toss that on the list to check out in the future.
