Solo Leveling: Power, Potential… but No Real Ending?
As someone who’s been pulled into the world of Solo Leveling, I’ve got to say; it’s one of the most gripping, most inspiring, and most enticing anime series I’ve watched recently. The anime character of Sung Jin-Woo really stands out. I love how he evolves from being the weakest (E ranked) into a total powerhouse. What makes him even more interesting is that, despite becoming insanely strong, he still has moments of vulnerability and humanity.
One of the best aspects of the story is how people consistently underestimate him, especially early on. That underdog angle is always satisfying, and watching everyone’s reactions once he reveals his real power is pure gold. It’s not like some series where the main character is constantly getting beat down, Jin-Woo holds his ground, and when he strikes back, it feels earned.
But here's the thing, Season one left me a bit uneasy. I honestly felt he could’ve been killed if not for the intervention of Cha Hae-In (that girl really came through). It was a crucial moment that reminded me he's still not untouchable, and that's part of what keeps the tension alive.
Now, onto my main concern, it doesn’t feel like the story really ends. The anime (and even parts of the manhwa) left this wide open-ended feeling. I’ve heard that his son might have inherited his powers, and if that’s true, then there’s a whole new generation of storytelling to explore. But it also makes me wonder, are we getting closure, or just more buildup?
I’m definitely excited to see where it goes next, but I hope they eventually tie everything together in a meaningful way. For now, Solo Leveling is an amazing ride with stunning animation, great action, and a hero you actually want to root for. I just hope they don’t stretch it too far without giving fans the payoff we deserve. I hope you grab!
Thanks for reading.
The manhwa is really good so I think anime will be having a great ending.
Yeah! I hope so.
