Code Geass Anime Review: A Dark, Smart, and Emotional Rollercoaster
Hello evey, today I have brought you an anime that you haven't seen yet, right? You are missing a lot. A lot!
Have you heard of perfection? This anime is that. And if you like Attack on Titan, this anime is for you.
If you like manipulation and psychological anime like Monster and Death Note, then this anime is for you.
And if you like watching anime with smart protagonists who take over everyone with their planning, then again, this anime is for you.
So our anime is Code Geass. And those who only watch hyped anime may not have heard of it — but trust me when I am saying this — that it is a G.O.A.T.ed anime, no doubt.
Like you have seen Attack on Titan. So you watch its basic plot and then watch Code Geass. You will know what I am talking about.
Legend protege, G.O.A.T.ed protege — plot twists that will blow your mind.
And no matter how many smart anime you watch, you still can't anticipate the plot of this anime.
You think it's going to happen, but then there's a plot twist that leaves you hanging.
And the reality check that this anime gives through fantasy is great.
Apart from that, there are some really emotional scenes in this anime.
Now I don't want to give you any spoilers, but for those who have watched this anime — brother, the scene with Yuffie — it took me a whole day to get over.
And it didn't take me more days because I finished watching this anime in two days.
I had so much fun with it.
And the second reason is — it's ending.
Now those who have seen this anime will know how sensible the ending of this anime is.
Yes, obviously you will be sad, but at the same time, you will be happy too.
Because you also know that in the end, this is the right thing.
And by that time you also become very curious as to how this series will end – because this series is taking such turns which were not expected at all.
And Lelouch, which is the name of our protege – so yup, you also wonder why Lelouch started this revolution and where is it going.
So, by that point, you also become very curious as to how this series will end.
And its ending was a bullseye, absolutely on point.
So yup, now let us move a little from its ending to its beginning.
And those who have not seen this anime, I am going to give a little overview of what is going to happen in it.
So basically Britannia has taken over one-third of the world, which makes it the strongest empire.
And here rises a rebellious man.
Our protege was the same - only he hid his identity because he declared war on Britannia along with the Japanese people - who were fed up with the discrimination in Britannia itself.
But our Lelouch was the prince of Britannia - who was kicked out of his house by his father, the king of the Britannia Empire, for some reason.
So Lelouch disguised his identity as Age Zero so that the Japanese people would not say that you are the prince of Britannia yourself - so what will you fight with us?
So, due to all these reasons, Lelouch Age Zero decides to destroy Britannia.
But how will a high schooler do this?
As I told you, Britannia is currently controlling one-third of the world.
So our Lelouch will do this with the help of two things:
First: his mind — with which he can do very dangerous planning.
And second, with the help of the power of Geass — which he gets for some reason.
With the help of the power of Geass, he can make anyone obey his orders — to an extreme extent.
With the help of the power of Geass, he can make you commit suicide or even murder.
And this is just a little base.
Later on, such plots come, which turn the story a lot.
Apart from this, brother, the quality that it provides in an episode — many anime are not able to provide that even in 150–200 episodes.
And I am not saying anything more or else you will get spoilers.
But trust me on this.
And try this anime brother.
I don't know which anime you are currently watching and which you are not - but you have to try this anime right now.
I usually don't say this about any anime, but this anime... all hail Lelouch.
