Is Daemon Targaryen the Next Three-Eyed Raven?
The official filming of the third season of House of the Dragon is over. The post production work is going on now. Meanwhile, the cast members of House of the Dragon are seen doing interview sessions with various news and media agencies.
There was also an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Whereas the seven main cast members of House of the Dragon were reading a lot of fan theories made by fans like us and commenting on which fan theories are close to the original series and which fan theories are absolutely rubbish.
Here we have an excellent fan theory about the future of the fan favorite Daemon Targaryen, played by actor Matt Smith.
In the House of the Dragon season finale, Daemon Targaryen could see the future by placing his hand on the Weird Tree in the River's Maze - the fan theory was, maybe Daemon Targaryen would be the Third-Eyed Raven of the future.
If you look closely at the interview, you'll notice that each cast member was reading the text in complete silence. Matt Smith avoided the issue by saying "Yeah God theory."
So dear Game of Thrones fans, let's talk about this today - what is the probability that Daemon Targaryen will be the Third-Eyed Raven?
Have we already seen such a scene or heard such a dialogue, which indicates such a future for Daemon?
The way we saw Daemon Targaryen in the River's Maze inside the ruined castle of Harrenhal in Season Two, George R. R. Martin did not write in his main book Fire and Blood.
The way Daemon sees the future at the end of season two is also not written in the main book. The makers of House of the Dragon are rewriting Daemon's arc in the series.
There are three clues in the House of the Dragon series shown in the main book and so far, about whether Daemon Targaryen will actually be the Third-Eyed Raven in the future. I will put all the stocks in front of you. The third sign can blow your mind.
First of all
In the main book, the last battle of Daemon Targaryen is written very clearly. I've made two different videos on this topic. If you're not afraid of spoilers, you can finish this video and watch the story.
Daemon Targaryen's body was never found in the main book. If we don't assume Daemon Targaryen will be the Third-Eyed Raven in the future, then the showmakers of House of the Dragon have a big chance in this part.
After the Battle Above the Gods Eye, Daemon Targaryen's body was never found, because Daemon did not die there. At the end of the fight, Daemon has given up all hope and become the Third-Eyed Raven.
Second
Daemon Targaryen was watching the visions with his hand on the weirwood tree. If you've seen my previous videos on Bran Stark and the Third-Eyed Raven, you know that the Weirwood tree and the Third-Eyed Raven are intimately linked.
In Game of Thrones, Bran Stark didn't become the Third-Eyed Raven. He went to the sixth season to see a little bit of vision from the first season.
So, if Daemon is indeed the Third-Eyed Raven, we might see some more visions of him in the upcoming seasons.
Another thing, we saw Young Brynden Rivers at the beginning of Daemon's vision. Both of these names are also mentioned in the video of Entertainment Weekly. We assumed that the older Brynden Rivers from Game of Thrones might be the younger Third-Eyed Raven from this time on.
But everything Daemon Targaryen saw in his vision was a glimpse into the future - the arrival of the White Walkers, the Battle of Tumbleton, the Battle Above the Gods Eye, Daelys becoming Targaryen's Dragon Mother, the Iron Throne near Targaryen - every scene would take place in the future. None of this happened until the second season of House of the Dragon.
So, the Young Brynden Rivers that we saw at the beginning of the vision, it could be a futuristic scenario. Daemon Targaryen may have passed on the mantle to Young Brynden Rivers after the end of his Third-Eyed Raven lifetime.
Brynden Rivers was replaced by Bran Stark.
Third
The mind-blowing vision I'm going to tell you about makes a lot of our theory true.
When we first saw it, we didn't pay much attention to it. But the most shocking part of Daemon's vision was the arrival of Helena Targaryen and her words to Daemon.
"You know the story. You know your part. You know what you need to do. "
In the House of the Dragon season two finale, Helaina Targaryen, the daughter of the eldest brother, gave these instructions to Daemon Targaryen the most shock.
At first, we thought it was a vision for the future. But no, standing on the balcony of the Red Keep of that King's Landing, Helaina Targaryen was directly telling her uncle - "You know what your part is in this story, you have to perform your part properly. "
Helaena Targaryen is associated with that mysterious part of the Dragonrider family, who sees the future prophecy from long ago.
The Targaryen family survived the Doom of Valyria because of the prophecy of the Targaryen Princess Daenys the Dreamer.
Although Helaina Targaryen is a Dragonrider in the Green Team, she refuses to go to Harrenhal with the dragon Dreamfire on the orders of the cruel Targaryen.
Helaena, however helpless as a weak woman, looks into Aemond's eyes and tells him the truth.
"You burned Aegon in the fire of the dragon. But it is of no avail. Aegon is back on the Iron Throne. And Aemond will drown in the Eye of God. "
"I can kill you," says Aemond. " "It won't change anything," she said. "
Helaena directs Daemon to this prophecy, which makes Daemon turn blue in front of Rhaenyra like a wet barrel.
There's only one conclusion I can draw...
The prophecy-teller Dreamer Queen Helaena Targaryen also knows that Daemon Targaryen is going to rise above the glory of the Targaryen Prince to a different responsibility outside the struggle of this world.
Daemon Targaryen's future is to put his wife on the Iron Throne and give up his family, participating in a final battle with Aemond.
But not in the greed for power, but in the story of Westeros, maintaining harmony between Ice and Fire through the weirwood tree.
So Helaina Targaryen of the Green Team brought the strongest fighter of the opposing Black Team to the track, so that he could finish the story of Fire and Blood and sing the Song of Ice and Fire.
How do you feel about this theory?
