Jon Snow After Game of Thrones: A Story We Never Got to See
Two years ago today, the news of a Game of Thrones sequel about Jon Snow came. At that time, Kit Harington, who plays the character of Jon Snow, himself briefed us about this new Game of Thrones show. But over time, we have heard negative things about this series several times.

The last time we were informed eight months ago when the season two of House of the Dragon premiered that the series called Snow had been shelved indefinitely. However, when the news of making a movie about the world of Game of Thrones came out again last December, fans were excited about a new one about Jon Snow.
Here we will see how and through whom Daenerys Targaryen can come back from the dead. Today, we will discuss what was the main plot point of the Game of Thrones series that was being developed around Jon Snow, why exactly it was stopped and why it can be started again now.
In the last eight months, we saw Kit Harington giving interviews in several places. There he clearly said, there have been plans to do something about Jon Snow for a long time. But I didn't want to give you any information about this before starting any solid production. Because I don't want fans to get too excited and start making various theories and then be disappointed.

Yes, dear visitors, Jon Snow said these words aimed at theory-driven fans like us. I am showing you Kit Harington's exact statement. But even so much secrecy was of no use.
HBO itself gave Kit Harington the role without any communication with George R. R. Martin. They hired a new team of writers to create a story of a high level, based on which a series about Night Watcher Jon Snow at Castle Black in The Wall would be made after season eight of Game of Thrones.
You can imagine what the story was going to be like again—where George R. R. Martin couldn't finish the main story, they were planning to write what would happen after him.
What the story was going to be like from Kit Harington's own words.

For eight episodes or an entire season, Jon Snow would just wander around in the snowy areas of the North as the leader of the Free Folks and think about his past. He would feel guilty about killing Daenerys, and he would also wonder what his identity was—Stark or Targaryen.
Although he might seem okay from above, Jon Snow is actually not okay—that's what he would explore in terms of mental instability. In other words, where the world of Game of Thrones is about dragons, magic, war rebellions, or political games, the Jon Snow series would just be a type show churning the memories of an unfortunate man wandering alone in the snow.
Seriously, I'm actually personally happy that we didn't have to see this boring story. That's why the official statement clearly says—we couldn't find the right story that would excite everyone.
If we think about it straight, the same thought should come to mind—the White Walkers have just been finished. Now, there's no threat that Jon Snow will have to fight against at The Wall.
The crippled King Bran the Broken's rule over the kingdom could have been a much more enjoyable story than this cold world of the North.
As far as we know HBO—who can give the responsibility of writing a new story to an actor other than George Martin, they haven't used a popular character like Jon Snow anywhere just because the story wasn't good—it's really unbelievable.
As far as I can tell, Jon Snow himself—I mean Kit Harington himself didn't want to move forward with this story. There's a reason for that. After Game of Thrones ended in 2019, we haven't seen Jon Snow or Khaleesi in any other popular movies or series.
The exception was the Marvel Cinematic Universe—Kit Harington was introduced as the Black Knight in the 2021 Eternals—just like in Game of Thrones, wielding a historical sword and teaming up with Blade to hunt vampires.
On the other hand, Emilia Clarke did a great job as the Mother of Dragons G'iah in Marvel's Secret Invasion series in 2023, but these two don't have a significant role in the Greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In other words, the hopes that these two had when they left the world of Game of Thrones and went to the Marvel Cinematic Universe were not fulfilled.
So I guess, since HBO is going to make about seven spin-off sequels and prequels from the world of A Song of Ice and Fire in the future, almost all of which involve old Martin, we can definitely see these two people in some sequel show. Is it too much to hope for?

But if there's one story that's exciting enough to be a sequel to Game of Thrones, it's Arya Stark.
Let me know in the comment, what you think about this.

This series I want to see, it would be great to see Daenerys revive and kill Tyrion haha.
The point is that now that I can express myself reviewing, it would be a wish reality to be able to review Snow or Daenerys in actuality parallel to the premiere of each chapter 😃
Even if this series is made in the future, I don't think it will be the same vibe as before.
Wow, this was such an interesting breakdown. I didn't even know the Jon Snow sequel had gone through so much behind the scene. Honestly, wandering through the North and reflecting sounds kind of slow for a GoT sequel - I get why fans (and maybe even Kit himself) weren't too hyped. I'd definitely be more excited for an Arya Stark sequel though. She got so much potential for an adventure. Fingers crossed we get something good in the future.
Hope to see it soon. Thank you for appreciate it.
