Mosharraf Karim এবার কী করবে? এই জিনিসটা প্রোভাইড করতে পারে—এজ অফ দ্য সিট মোমেন্ট, টেনশনের মোমেন্ট, থ্রিলের মোমেন্ট। এই মোমেন্টগুলো কন্টিনিউয়াসলি Ascendingly পারে, এবং একটা টাইমে সাইলেন্টলি তিন-চারটে জিনিস একসাথে দেখাচ্ছে। কিন্তু তার জন্য অডিয়েন্স কনফিউজড হয় না। এত স্মার্ট ভাবে লেখা এবং এত স্মার্ট ভাবে প্রেজেন্ট করা, আপনি কনফিউজড হবেন না। আপনার ইন্টারেস্টিং লাগবে জিনিসটা দেখতে, যে এর পর কী হবে।

The background music (BGM) supports the theme well and enhances the experience. The songs are good too—not the kind that stick in your head, but they’re pleasant to listen to. The color tone and production quality give the movie a premium feel. It’s clear that the makers invested a good budget and didn’t cut corners, which you’ll notice when you watch it.

সেই জিনিসটা বেশ ভালো। তো, স্টোরিটা যেরকম ভালো, স্টোরির মধ্যে সব, মানে সবকিছু উপাদান আছে, এবং তার সঙ্গে স্টোরির টেলিংটাও ভালো হয়েছে। এখানে কিন্তু বিজিএম-এর কাজ বেশ ভালো। এই থিমটাকে বা সাবজেক্টটাকে বেশ ভালো সাপোর্ট করে, এবং বিজিএমটা ভালো। গানগুলোও ভালো। গানগুলো বেশ ভালো। গানগুলো আপনার হয়তো মাথায় থাকবে না, কিন্তু গানগুলো শুনতে আপনার ভালো লাগে। কালার টোনও ভালো, একটা প্রিমিয়ামনেস আছে। টাকা-পয়সা আছে, একটা সার্টেন টাকা-পয়সা যে তারা খরচ করেছে। খুব একটা যে কিপটামি করেনি, সেটা আপনি দেখলে বুঝতে পারবেন।

Acting & Performance

The acting is top-notch across the board. Mosharraf Karim and Intekhab Dinar deliver stellar performances, and everyone else in the cast is equally impressive. Mosharraf Karim, in particular, shines with his one-liners. In one scene, a character tells him, “What’s the point of beating up good people?” He responds, “Yeah, I beat them up, and I’ll beat them up later too—I love beating people.” His dialogue delivery, especially in comedic moments, is spot-on, and he’s well-supported by the cast.

এর মধ্যে যেরকম থ্রিল আছে, যেরকম অ্যাকশন পাবেন, যেরকম, মানে, এর মধ্যে সেই ইয়েটা পাবেন, এজ অফ সিট মোমেন্ট পাবেন। তার মধ্যে কিন্তু ইমোশনটা ওয়ার্ক করে। দেখুন, ক্রাইম থ্রিলারে খুব একটা ইমোশনের জায়গা তো থাকে না। কিন্তু এখানে রাখা হয়েছে। কম জায়গায় রাখা হয়েছে, কিন্তু সে ইমোশনটা ওয়ার্ক করে। দুটো মায়ের ইমোশন বা একটা পুলিশ অফিসারের সঙ্গে আরেকটা পুলিশ অফিসারের ইমোশন, সেই জিনিসগুলো কিন্তু ভালো লাগে। একটা ক্রিমিনালের বাবা, তার সঙ্গে একটা পুলিশ অফিসারের ইমোশন জড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে। সেই জিনিসগুলো এত ভালো লাগে দেখতে। ইমোশনগুলো ছোট ছোট জায়গায় আসে, এবং সেই ইমোশনগুলো কিন্তু ওয়ার্ক করে। আপনার জন্য, এজ এ অডিয়েন্স, মাঝে মাঝে ইমোশনগুলো দেখতে বেশ ভালো লাগে। টেস্টটা চেঞ্জ করে আপনার।

The way the story unfolds, with clues and investigations, is engaging. The twists and turns toward the end are surprising and not easily predictable. You’ll only guess them when the makers want you to. The way the clues are revealed and the investigation progresses keeps you hooked, and the final twists are both satisfying and surprising.

এবং তার সঙ্গে এই সিনেমার মধ্যে যেভাবে জিনিসপত্রগুলোকে আনা হয়েছে, যেভাবে জিনিসপত্রগুলোকে দেখানো হয়েছে, এবং লাস্টে যেভাবে টুইস্ট এন্ড টার্নস আসে, সেটা কিন্তু ভালো লাগে। টুইস্ট এন্ড টার্নসটা সারপ্রাইজিং, এমন না যে আপনি আগে থেকেই প্রেডিক্ট করতে পারবেন। আপনি তখনই প্রেডিক্ট করতে পারবেন, যখন মেকাররা আপনাকে প্রেডিক্ট করতে দেবে। সেই জিনিসটা আমার বেশ ভালো লেগেছে। যেভাবে জিনিসগুলো আসছে, ক্লু-গুলো যেভাবে আসছে, ইনভেস্টিগেশনটা যেভাবে চলছে, সেটা দেখতে ইন্টারেস্টিং লাগে। এবং লাস্টে গিয়ে যে টুইস্ট এন্ড টার্নসটা আছে, সেটাও কিন্তু ভালো, সারপ্রাইজিং। এই ছিল মোটামুটি পজিটিভ দিক। এবার যদি আমি নেগেটিভ দিকে মুভ করি।

Negative Aspects

Now, let’s talk about the negatives. First, while the emotional bond between two police officers is well-portrayed, the investigation feels like it’s carried by them alone. It’s supposed to be a team effort, but the rest of the team is barely shown. A sense of teamwork and bonding among the entire team would have added more depth.

এখানে প্রথম যে নেগেটিভ দিকটা, সেটা হচ্ছে, এখানে দুটো পুলিশ অফিসারের ইমোশন খুব ভালোভাবে দেখানো হয়েছে। কিন্তু একটা ইনভেস্টিগেশন চলছে, সেটা একটা টিমওয়ার্ক। টিমটার কোথাও গিয়ে আপনি খোঁজ পাবেন না। মানে, দুটো পুলিশ অফিসার ভালো কাজ করছে, তাদের মধ্যে ইমোশনাল বন্ডিংটা ভালো। কিন্তু পুরো টিম যে একটা টিমওয়ার্ক করছে, সেই টিমটাকে আপনি দেখতে পাবেন না। এবং সেটা আপনার মনে হবে, টিমের মধ্যেও একটা বন্ডিং থাকাটা জরুরি ছিল।

Second, the murdered boy’s parents, who are powerful lawyers, get caught up in personal issues instead of focusing on getting their son out of trouble. The urgency to save their son feels lacking, as they spend more time dealing with their own conflicts. This aspect could have been explored better or given more focus.

তার সঙ্গে এখানে এই যে বললাম, যে মারা যাচ্ছে, সে খুব বড় লোকের ছেলে। বাবা-মা হচ্ছে লয়ার। এবার তাদের মধ্যে তাদের ছেলে যে জেলে চলে যাচ্ছে, তাদের তো চেষ্টা থাকবে ছেলেকে বার করে আনার। তারা না মাঝখানে গিয়ে নিজেদের পার্সোনাল প্রবলেমের মধ্যে ফেঁসে যাচ্ছে। সেই জায়গাগুলো বেশি করে এক্সপ্লোর করেছে। রাদার দেন ছেলেকে বার করার পেছনে যে টাইমটা দেওয়া উচিত ছিল, সেই টাইমে কিন্তু, মানে, সেই টাইমটা কিন্তু ছেলেকে বার করার পেছনে তারা দিচ্ছে না। নিজেদের মধ্যে লড়াই করে যাচ্ছে বা নিজেদের পার্সোনাল প্রবলেমগুলোকে সেখানে ডিসকাস করছে। এবার ছেলে যে জেলে, সেটা বার করার যে চেষ্টা, সেটা আপনি দেখতে পাবেন না। সেই হারিনেসটা বা সেই আর্জেন্সিটা আপনি দেখতে পাবেন না। সেটা একটা আমার খারাপ লেগেছে।

Lastly, there’s a courtroom scene that feels unnecessary. It wasn’t fleshed out properly and could have been cut entirely. The investigation alone was engaging enough to carry the movie, and removing the courtroom drama could have made the film crisper and tighter, reducing the runtime slightly.

এবং এই সিনেমাতে একটা কোর্ট কেস দেখানো হয়। কোর্ট কেসটা আননেসেসারি লাগে দেখতে। কারণ কোর্ট কেসটাকে ভালোভাবে ফ্লেশ আউট করা হয়নি। সেটা দরকারও ছিল না। সেটা কেটে বাদও দেওয়া যেত। খালি ইনভেস্টিগেশনটা দিয়েই পুরো সিনেমাটা বার করা যেত। সেটাতেই এঙ্গেজিং হয়ে যেত দর্শক। এই কোর্ট কেসটার আলাদা করে দরকার ছিল না। এবং তারা সেই কোর্ট কেসটাকে ভালোভাবে দেখায়ও নি। তো দরকার কী ছিল? কেটে বাদ দিয়ে রানিং লেন্থটাকে আরেকটু কম করে আরো ক্রিসপ করলে জিনিসটা আরো বেশি ভালো হতো। আরো বেশি টাইট লাগতো দেখতে।
