Dilly Dally , this and that

I tend to have some form of video or music playing while I do other things and recently the background entertainment has been old cartoons I was told about.

The amazing world of Gumball is pretty fun, although the Youtube ones don't seem to be the full episodes. They are still entertaining even if clipped and I think the resolve is usually cut off but then again I have never had a completionist mentality.

I will stop reading a book 80% of the way and not watch the last episode of a series just cause I don't wanna so clips that are incomplete hardly concern me.

I guess watching older shows would become a norm as the world continues its mental illness trajectory but that is no biggy really because another nice thing is we will all be dead before anything changes.

In other news I was musing that living in a country is basically like play to earn, although it is more like pay to live to earn to live...

Yeah that one.

What I don't get is how we have some really impressive tech yet can't account for Gov spending or reason why some areas are incapable of just being better.

So basically society is a high-functioning alcoholic and since the answer is "we don't have a problem" they are the problem then obviously there is no need to change the structure it surely has to be the people in charge of the structure.

Really it is all of it. For me, it starts with a lack of accountability but also a fear of categorizing people as they aught to be.

The simplest thing I imagine to implement for some semblance of change is full transparency on government funds, we have this thing called blockchain and all transactions can be traced from source to end , given some obscurity on sums.

Then once info is public then fair enough the masses and especially the obsessive theorists will be sure to account for every cent. That is like free forensic accounting if you ask me.

Then it comes to fixing how people think about structures and improving all regions of a country, now the masses are pretty useless in this respect, they are good to inform of issues but they are pathetic at resolving them.

Hence they can't be having equal votes because in the end one voice is not the same as another given context.

If you build spaceships you don't hire a flatearther to calculate trajectories. You could get them on the marketing squad though.

Anyway, I am bored now but it was fun to see how paying taxes is just a silly game with cheaters.

Hahahahaha! I need to show that clip to my kids tonight... especially one of them...

Anyway, yeah I sympathize with your ponderings. I too have a problem with the way things are run. and What you said here:

That is what I have said too but in a different way. My usual is "The problem with democracy is that you can gather a panel of 10 Doctors, Professors and Engineers to design and build anything but if I have 100 unqualified, ignorant people on my side then I will be the one who makes the decision of where all the money goes."

Thus we live in a time where the tail is shaking the dog while human society and advancement was developed the other way around. I do have suggestions for solutions but we would enough people to back it to make it work and we go right back to the qualified and well read vs the unread and ignorant again. Especially when their charlatan ring-leaders stand to lose their power.

Anyway... I came here to thank you for your tip you sent btw! Thank you!

Amen!

I could theorize that a more practical form of governance would be a Technocracy, that gives votes vote weight based on their competence based on subject matter.

So a medical Doctor's vote weight is high when voting on matters of medicine, medium in terms of food distribution and low in regards to building a bridge... unless they are ALSO an competent engineer.

This would mean that scoring would need to be tracked through consistent effort and success ratio as well.

We would need some interesting technology to track this...

That's an interesting concept 🤔

But some doctors are total lunatics and don't know what's what...

And then less privileged folk who can't afford to become Dr's... well... same same.

The thing is... and here's the thing... you really have to have endlessly endless meetings between actual live humans for a proper democratic vote to be constructive and genuine.

With debate and questions and answers and scuffles and, and... it's a LOT of mission.

Admin everywhere.

Easy with smaller groups but tough with big ones.

Perhaps we should be reversing things again. Going more "tribal". Micro nations...

Tribal gatherings around fires. With a council. And marshmallows. And drumming please. 👍🏻

I think decentralization is a fucking fine start.

And I don't think it's the systems that are the problem. Still. We gotta level up. Or we will break any system we build.

Just our nature.

Or our forgotten nature. Because I think we're supposed to work together far better as a species...

Maybe we need to aim for radical personal individuation now. This kinda lives more the the whole concept of decentralization?

As in... a vote is pointless despite any education a person may have if they're afraid to actually use it authentically anyway?

Also. Fuck politics. Again. I'm sure we can all just treat everybody the way we'd like to be treated? That's not complicated at all.

avatar

It might not seem complicated but in a general point of view, humans as a species does not have any unified goals.

Thus corruption, murder and theft.

If we had common goals and worked towards them our resources would be used less wastefully.

But as it stands there are Billions who live their life to perform meaningless functions so they can replicate children that would then continue to perform meaningless tasks without any real progress.

avatar

Hell yeah.

Sign me up. If we have same goals. :)

It's far more fun navigating this whole life thing with kindred spirits 👍🏻
