Hola amigos de Hive-Con cómo va su semana? Ya casi termina agosto y he descubierto animes y mangas que realmente no esperaba que me gustaran, la verdad me he llevado muchísimas sorpresas con los mangas de Chainsaw Man del cual tengo un post para muy pronto y también Zom 100 y su anime me han gustado mucho, sin contar que estoy muy al día con Jujutsu, pero ahora les quería hablar de una película que vi hace poco y que me dejo sorprendido:

Debo decir que esta película es una de esas que no sabía que existía y que gracias a TikTok y sus recomendaciones es que la descubrí, al principio pensé que era un anime y quise ver cuantas temporadas tenia, pero luego me enteré al conseguirlo que era una película lo cual me sorprendió bastante.

La trama gira en torno a nuestro protagonista JP el cual es un corredor de carreras, pero apenas comienza la película nos damos cuenta de que esta obra no tiene nada de común, pues resulta que las carreras son en el espacio, pues se ambienta en el futuro, hay aliens y todo tipo de vehículos y cualquier cantidad de situaciones en las carreras, al comenzar la trama nos cuentan como JP esta compitiendo en la Yellowline una carrera de clasificación para la REDLINE la carrera más importante del universo y en esta carrera nos presentan a Sonoshee la principal candidata a clasificar y ganar la carrera.

Conforme avanza la carrera nos damos cuenta del potencial de JP y de como de una manera poco convencional se abre paso hasta “Casi” ganar la carrera pero por un accidente la pierde, nada mas en los primeros 10 minutos de película ya nos generan un interés en este mundo caótico de las carreras, y se intensifica aun mas al enterarnos que Sonoshee gano la carrera y que JP también clasifico a la REDLINE por motivos que no les contare para no arruinarles la trama, a partir de aquí todo lo que veamos es una locura de trama y acción sin parar.

La verdad me di cuenta de que esta es una de esas películas que mientras mas las ves, mas entiendes la trama y lo que se va cocinando en el fondo, es cierto que la película gira en torno a JP, pero hay al menos 4 subtramas desarrollándose al mismo tiempo en esta historia y que la película ni se molesta en explicarnos, así que deberemos ser nosotros los que con nuestros propios ojos podamos fijarnos y agarrar esos detalles que explican lo que pasa.

Obviamente la película tampoco es tan criptica, pero si que te obliga a prestar atención para no quedarte con dudas sobre lo que pasa y como pudieron estar sucediendo estos eventos a la par de una carrera como la REDLINE.

Los personajes y el trasfondo general

Algo que me sorprendió bastante de una obra como esta es que se dieron el tiempo (luego hare énfasis en esto) para darle al menos 4 minutos de trasfondo a las personas secundarias, no hay manera en la que termine la película y no sepas algo de un personaje que haya llamado tu atención, claramente hay un esfuerzo y énfasis en la historia principal de JP y Sonoshee, pero también supieron aprovechar el carisma de otros personajes muy bien.

Ahora debo hablar de el trasfondo general, la verdad es que cuando vez la película por primera vez debo admitir que luego de la mitad de la película me pareció un sueño alucinógeno jajaja, porque como es tanta acción y situaciones tensas que no sabes de donde salieron que realmente solo tratas de seguir el hilo pero conforme termina la película te quedas con la sensación de “ Hey, quiero ver de nuevo esto para entender” y comienzas a darte cuenta de los escenarios, del estado del universo de esta obra y así captar de donde salen los eventos.

El estilo artístico y sonoro es increíble

Bueno aquí solo hablare maravillas, personalmente ame el estilo artístico de esta película, me pareció que no había ni un solo fotograma en el que mis ojos no disfrutaran, los colores, los gestos todo me dio la impresión de tener una cantidad de esfuerzo increíble, y para mi sorpresa luego de ver la película me entere que fue animada durante 7 años y que fueron usados más de 100.000 dibujos a mano, yo no se que mas puedo decir luego de comentar esto.

En cuanto a lo sonoro la verdad fue excelente, a pesar de ser una película de 2009, su estilo musical me recuerda a el J-POP de los 90´s y debo decir que me encanta, se que no a todos les gusta este estilo, pero realmente lo vale.

La verdad es una de esas películas que me dejo sorprendido aun cuando no esperaba nada de ella, se logro quedar como una de mis cintas favoritas para ver, sobre todo porque más allá de la trama es tan disfrutable hasta en lo simple, ¡que creo que no hay ninguna perdida al verla y la recomendaría sin dudarlo y espero que le den una oportunidad!

I must say that this movie is one of those that I didn't know existed and thanks to TikTok and his recommendations is that I discovered it, at first I thought it was an anime and wanted to see how many seasons it had, but then I found out when I got it that it was a movie which surprised me a lot.

The plot revolves around our protagonist JP which is a racer, but as soon as the film begins we realize that this work has nothing in common, it turns out that the races are in space, as it is set in the future, there are aliens and all kinds of vehicles and any number of situations in the races, to begin the plot we are told as JP is competing in the Yellowline a qualifying race for the REDLINE the most important race in the universe and in this race we are introduced to Sonoshee the main candidate to qualify and win the race.

As the race progresses we realize the potential of JP and how in an unconventional way makes its way to "Almost" win the race but by an accident loses it, just in the first 10 minutes of film and we generate an interest in this chaotic world of racing, and intensifies even more to learn that Sonoshee won the race and that JP also qualified for the REDLINE for reasons that will not tell you not to ruin the plot, from here everything we see is a crazy plot and non-stop action.

The truth I realized that this is one of those movies that the more you see them, the more you understand the plot and what is cooking in the background, it is true that the film revolves around JP, but there are at least 4 subplots developing at the same time in this story and that the film does not bother to explain, so we must be the ones who with our own eyes can look and grab those details that explain what happens.
Obviously the movie is not that cryptic either, but it does force you to pay attention so that you are not left with doubts about what is going on and how these events could be happening at the same time as a race like REDLINE.

The characters and the general background

Something that surprised me a lot of a work like this is that they took the time (later I will emphasize this) to give at least 4 minutes of background to the secondary people, there is no way that the movie ends and you don't know something about a character that has caught your attention, clearly there is an effort and emphasis on the main story of JP and Sonoshee, but they also knew how to take advantage of the charisma of other characters very well.

Now I must talk about the general background, the truth is that when you see the movie for the first time I must admit that after half of the movie it seemed like a hallucinogenic dream hahaha, because as it is so much action and tense situations that you don't know where they came from you really just try to follow the thread but as the movie ends you are left with the feeling of " Hey, I want to see this again to understand" and you begin to realize the scenarios, the state of the universe of this work and thus grasp where the events come from.

The art style and sound is incredible.

Well here I will only speak wonders, I personally loved the art style of this movie, it seemed to me that there was not a single frame in which my eyes did not enjoy, the colors, the gestures everything gave me the impression of having an incredible amount of effort, and to my surprise after watching the movie I found out that it was animated for 7 years and that more than 100,000 hand drawings were used, I do not know what else I can say after commenting this.

As for the sound the truth was excellent, despite being a 2009 movie, its musical style reminds me of the J-POP of the 90's and I must say that I love it, I know that not everyone likes this style, but it is really worth it.

The truth is one of those movies that left me surprised even when I didn't expect anything from it, it managed to stay as one of my favorite movies to watch, especially because beyond the plot it is so enjoyable even in its simplicity, I think there is no loss in watching it and I would recommend it without hesitation and I hope you give it a chance!
