"Una película bastante cruda sobre una realidad de la cual no se habla tanto"

Hola comunidad de Movies & Tv Shows, hacia mucho tiempo que no pasaba por aquí! espero que estén muy bien! tenia un tiempo desaparecido de Hive por compromisos personales pero ya estoy de vuelta y quería compartirles mis impresiones sobre esta película bastante "vieja" que siempre había visto en TV pero que por alguna razón siempre la veía incompleta, a veces veía el final, a veces solo una parte, pero nunca completamente y nunca había visto el inicio, pero esta vez pude ver toda la película y VAYA QUE PELICULA MAS BUENA!

TRAMA Y PERSONAJES

Ok pero primero les daré un poco de contexto, la película nos pone en el papel de Yuri Orlov y su hermano Vitaly Orlov, los cuales trabajan en su restaurante familiar, pero que poco a poco la costumbre y la falta de dinero pone a Yuri a pensar en que hacer para solucionar su situación y debido a diferentes elecciones termina vendiendo un arma y dándose cuenta que vender armas da muchísimo dinero.

Pero conforme pasa el tiempo se hace cada vez mas grande y tiene que empezar a expandir su negocio de ventas de armas y para ello recluta a su hermano y así poco a poco entran en un mundo muy oscuro de violencia, dinero y muerte.

Durante la película vamos conociendo a diferentes lideres militares y contrabandistas de armas y como Yuri tiene que lidiar con la ilegalidad de ese negocio, como sacar a sus competidores fuera del mercado mientras lidia con sus problemas personales, enamora a la chica de sus sueños y tiene problemas morales sobre si lo que hace esta bien o no.

Pero mientras se desarrolla esta trama, tenemos al "Antagonista" de Yuri, el cual es el agente de la Interpol Jack Valentine, el cual luego de varios planes de Yuri para ocultar su negocio, le pone el ojo encima y lo empieza a vigilar para conocer todos sus movimientos y tarde o temprano atraparlo y poderlo llevar ante la justicia.

A lo largo de toda la película vemos diferentes posturas que afectan las relaciones de Yuri con su familia, vemos la postura de sus padres, los cuales hacen todo lo posible para ignorar y desconocer lo que hace su hijo, vemos a su hermano Vitaly con un claro debate sobre si eso esta bien o mal y como le afecta psicológicamente esa vida al punto de llevarlo a la adicción, y vemos a su esposa fingiendo no importarle lo que haga Yuri siempre que le sea fiel y los cuide.

Sin embargo Yuri ignora todas esas posturas al creer que sinceramente el no hacia nada malo, y llegando a la conclusión de que es necesario para este mundo, que el trafico de armas es algo necesario, hoy, mañana y siempre y esto es un tema super controversial que deja la película a criterio del espectador y por el cual esta película me gusto tanto.

Esta es una película bastante cruda, pues siento que trata este tema de maneras muy directas, y de como puede ser vista desde diferentes ángulos y posturas, pues es un reflejo de la vida real y de como asumimos cosas que NO son normales como algo del día a día.

La actuación de Nicolas Cage en este film es de los mejores que le he visto hacer, pues realmente se pone en el papel, y vemos como básicamente su vida pasa de ser humilde a ser un infierno y en lo interpreta de una manera increíble, normalmente no veo este tipo de películas pero ver una así y que sea tan atrapante a pesar de ser tan profunda es algo que no todas logran hacer.

En fin quería traerles este mini review de esta gran película a mi parecer y sin tantos spoilers para que cada quien pueda darle la oportunidad y ver de lo que hablo, es una película que recomendaría totalmente y espero que hayan disfrutado de mi post!

"A pretty raw movie about a reality that is not so much talked about".

Hello Movies & Tv Shows community, I haven't been here for a long time! I hope you are doing well! I had been missing from Hive for a while due to personal commitments but I'm back and I wanted to share with you my impressions about this "old" movie that I had always seen on TV but for some reason I always saw it incomplete, sometimes I saw the end, sometimes only a part, but never completely and I had never seen the beginning, but this time I could see the whole movie and WOW WHAT A GOOD MOVIE!

PLOT AND CHARACTERS

Ok but first I will give you a little context, the movie puts us in the role of Yuri Orlov and his brother Vitaly Orlov, both of whom work in their family restaurant, but little by little the habit and the lack of money makes Yuri think about what to do to solve his situation and due to different choices he ends up selling a gun and realizing that selling guns makes a lot of money.

But as time goes by, he becomes bigger and bigger and has to start expanding his arms sales business and for this he recruits his brother and so little by little they enter a very dark world of violence, money and death.

During the film we meet different military leaders and arms smugglers and how Yuri has to deal with the illegality of that business, how to put his competitors out of business while dealing with his personal problems, falling in love with the girl of his dreams and having moral problems about whether what he does is right or not.

But while this plot develops, we have Yuri's "Antagonist", which is the Interpol agent Jack Valentine, who after several plans of Yuri to hide his business, puts the eye on him and starts watching him to know all his movements and sooner or later catch him and bring him to justice.

Throughout the film we see different positions that affect Yuri's relationships with his family, we see the position of his parents, who do everything possible to ignore and ignore what their son does, we see his brother Vitaly with a clear debate about whether that is right or wrong and how it affects him psychologically that life to the point of leading to addiction, and we see his wife pretending not to care what Yuri does as long as he is faithful and takes care of them.

However Yuri ignores all these positions believing that sincerely he was not doing anything wrong, and coming to the conclusion that it is necessary for this world, that arms trafficking is something necessary, today, tomorrow and always and this is a super controversial issue that leaves the film to the viewer's discretion and why I liked this movie so much.

This is a pretty raw movie, as I feel it deals with this subject in very direct ways, and how it can be seen from different angles and postures, as it is a reflection of real life and how we assume things that are NOT normal as a day to day thing.

Nicolas Cage's performance in this film is one of the best I've seen him do, he really puts himself in the role, and we see how basically his life goes from humble to hell and he plays it in an incredible way, normally I don't see this kind of movies but to see one like this and have it be so catching despite being so deep is something that not all of them manage to do.

Anyway I wanted to bring you this mini review of this great movie in my opinion and without so many spoilers so that everyone can give it a chance and see what I'm talking about, it's a movie that I would totally recommend and I hope you enjoyed my post!
