The stranger thing, I must say, is that it is a great movie you shouldn't miss. I stumbled on it one certain time on the net. Everyone was talking about it back then but I never really paid much attention to it. Not until my senior brother introduced it to me. I decided to give it a try and honestly I must say, it is worth the hype.

Stranger Things is a movie series of about four seasons. I think they are still shooting the last season. If you're looking for something that comprises mystery, other worldly creatures, adventures and horror then this movie is for you. The suspense, emotional rollercoaster and fear they bring to this movie is truly remarkable.

It centers around a small girl named eleven who somehow doesn't know who she is, where she came from but has tremendous supernatural powers. She is a secret project of the government. A product of some experiment . Things begin to go amiss in the town of Hawkins when a young boy named will goes missing, meanwhile he is trapped in another dimension, the upside down world.

This movie is exceptional. It is a combination of horror, suspense and mystery, making one to be on edge, always guessing the next scene.

The cast performed a good job. I must hand it to Joyce. Her tremendous acting skill as the desperate, almost insane mother who just badly wants to see her child again is incredible. She brings raw emotion into it making it very much heart felt.

Also, the detective, Hopper, the four little friends and their unwavering determination to get to the bottom of it all is commendable. They stay and fight till the very end. This movie teaches a lot about friendship, trauma, love and curiosity.

I admire the visuals and cinematography they used in making every moment and scene seem so real, especially in the aspect of Vecna, the true villain in the story. The setting of this movie matches the story line really well.

However I felt they could have done a lot more better. For one the pacing was extremely long. Before they finally revealed the mystery or dropped small hints to it, the viewers would already be too exhausted thinking of what next? They prolonged the movie for more than necessary. Also I felt like some characters they later introduced in the subsequent seasons weren't necessary.

My final opinion would be that The Stranger Things is a spectacular movie that takes us into a dive into another world called the upside down. The graphics are truly commendable. The duffer's brothers really created an awesome movie here that is unique and mindblowing. I rate it a 9/10.
