The Blacklist is one unique well acted crime series that will keep you engaged from the very first episode till the end of the ten seasons. It's loaded with much actions and suspense that can make you unable to take your eyes off the screen. The first season came out in 2013, and they kept it going till 2023, when the last season was released. The movie series has unquestionably attracted a lot of fans as a result of its unique storyline, plot twist, engaging actions. The blacklist is more than just a series. It's an in-depth exploration of the world of crime, corruption, influence, power and secrets.

It starts with Raymond Reddington, a well-known dangerous criminal, suddenly surrendering to the FBI and offering his help in catching all the world's most dangerous criminals and syndicates. Even the ones the FBI are non-knowledgeable about. All these in exchange for working exclusively with one of the FBI agents, named Elizabeth Kim.

At its core, the movie keeps us questioning the real intentions of Raymond Reddington. He blurs the line between good and bad so many times that we are left wondering how a hardened criminal could do so much. So many times I’m left wondering what truly his motives are, as this series would keep you insanely curious, and eager to find out what's next. On the other hand, there is Elizabeth Kim, aka Megan Boone, a young woman who struggles to handle the various secrets concerning her that keep on unfolding as the movie progresses.

This show indirectly gives us an analysis of the abuse of power; what power looks like in the wrong hands and when corruption is involved. It paints a picture of how justice is sometimes not always black and white, but could also be grey.

The style of the movie, I must say, is giving. It gives a sleek, dark, action-filled crime movie. Also, the visuals are wonderful. From the perfectly staged scenery in which the numerous actions take place, the darkly lit FBI room which adds depth to the movie, the nicely performed choreographic action scenes, the amazing soundtrack that adds more suspense and tension to the movie and everything in between, The blacklist takes first position in cinematography, style and visual quality.

One biggest strength of this movie would be James Spader a.k.a. Raymond Reddington's performance. He is literally the leading man in the show, and I can see why. His acting style is exceptional. His manipulative ability and intelligent dialogues with other characters in the show, show how skilful he is at acting. I also find the emotional relationship between Red and Liz one of the core reasons the show was a big hit. Followed by a rich blend of seasons and plotlines that keeps the viewer engaged till the end.

However, what I didn't like about the show was the excessive mysteries and secrecy. It was a bit too much towards the later seasons, making everything much complicated than it already was. As a different season unfolds, the story becomes more and more complicated with Redington and the secrets from the past that threaten to ruin things.

Now, down to the characters. Megan Boone did a terrific job in performing as Elizabeth Kim. I believe, she is the most strongest character in the movie. Her ability to navigate through a series of betrays from the people she loved closely, and make morally complex choices is truly remarkable. Over the series, she evolves into a more calculative, smart agent. The pain and betrayal shaped her into someone stronger. I feel she is the emotional centre of the movie.

And let's not forget our favourite, James Spader. The way he portrayed Reddington as an evil, smart, witty mastermind and manipulator is exceptional. He brings to life the character really well and absolutely nailed the role.

Also, the supporting characters, including Harold Cooper, the head of the FBI team, Agent Ressler, Dembe, Reddington’s most loyal confidant, and a lot of other people, together make the movie an irresistible watch.

The structure of this movie is produced in such a way that each episode is about a fresh case of crime solved by the FBI where one of the most dangerous criminals, cyberterrorists, drug dealers and many more are caught. A new blacklister is always introduced in each episode with a backing story that gives the movie more volume and depth.

One of the most remarkable things about this Blacklist is the suspense and secrecy behind Raymond Reddington's true identity and his connection with Elizabeth Kim. It keeps the audience wondering till the very end. It almost drove me crazy no doubt.

My final verdict would be, the black list remains one of the best crime series, which is not only about catching bad guys but takes us on a journey where the weight of secrecy, past choices and tests of morale creates a compelling must-watch series of all time.

Está cargada de acción y suspenso, al punto de que no podrás apartar los ojos de la pantalla. La primera temporada salió en 2013 y se mantuvo hasta 2023, cuando se estrenó la última. Esta serie sin duda ha atraído a muchísimos fanáticos gracias a su historia única, giros en la trama y escenas llenas de acción. The Blacklist es más que una serie: es una exploración profunda del mundo del crimen, la corrupción, la influencia, el poder y los secretos.

Todo comienza con Raymond Reddington, un criminal peligroso y muy conocido, que de repente se entrega al FBI y ofrece su ayuda para atrapar a los criminales y sindicatos más peligrosos del mundo, incluso aquellos de los que el FBI no tiene conocimiento. Todo esto a cambio de trabajar exclusivamente con una de las agentes del FBI, llamada Elizabeth Keen.

Además, la calidad visual es magnífica: desde las escenografías perfectamente diseñadas donde ocurren las múltiples escenas de acción, la iluminación sombría de la sala del FBI que añade profundidad, las coreografías de acción bien ejecutadas, la banda sonora que intensifica el suspenso y la tensión, y todo lo demás, The Blacklist ocupa el primer lugar en cinematografía, estilo y calidad visual.

Uno de los puntos más fuertes de esta serie es la actuación de James Spader, quien interpreta a Raymond Reddington. Literalmente es el hombre principal del show, y se nota por qué.
