Cine TV Contest: Day Shift, the movie that made me fall asleep.
Good day fellow movie lover, i am really excited to be participating in this week contest. Immediately i saw this week topic my mind quickly flashed to how i slept off when i was watching "Day Shift" even thou the movie featured great and funny actors and even Snoop Dogg, the movie still came out bad to be honest. To me i don't think its because of the actors, its more of the movies storyline, i didn't feel the idea of making a vampire hunter movie and trying so hard to incorporate jokes and comedy to it. The action was good, the stunts was top notch but the story line wasn't it.
I cant really pinpoint what i learnt from the movie but one thing i did take away was that a man should always provide and be there for their family and kids especially. The Jamie Fox character in the movie went extra miles to provide for his kids needs by hunting for vampire teeth to sell, even when the vampires kidnap his family, he was brave enough to enter the vampire den and safe them.
The most interesting part will probably be when he killed the head of the vampires, i like the move he used there with the tiny string trap. That part was sleek.
There isn't any scene that really got me emotional or gave me that wow feeling, the scenes where just mid, the movie general is mid, that probably why i slept off while watching.
Like i said earlier the movie isn't that good but the actors did a good job playing there role, my favorite performance will be Jamie Fox, the way he was able to switch from acting daddy to, ex husband, to the funny guy, and also the cool vampire hunter, his performance was good, i have always been a fan of him. Another performance i liked is that of Dave Franco, he really put in a lot of energy into his performance, i also love the combination of him and Jamie Fox, it would be nice to see them on another project together with better story line.

Like i said, the movie story line is mid, the vampire hunting and all that, didn't come out good even though the actors did a good job, i would rate the movie 6/10 if i were to rate it.
