Yesterday I saw this movie and honestly I can't get over it. It is in short: Spectacular!

Many times we could think at first glance that it is a crazy collaboration, but thinking carefully both cartoons share appreciable similarities, such as:

Both of them:

  • They are canines, with deep fear behaviors.
  • They love and appreciate their masters.
  • They are faced with various types of monsters, characters and mysteries.
  • They are intelligent and have a huge heart.
  • They are from times of my childhood, the original series point to a boom period during the late 80's and 90's.

They discovered me, I'm a fan of both series and seeing this type of collaboration made me fall in love. Even more so because I can safely say that the plot developed in the film does not escape the genius that characterizes the two series, it was a story of perfect union.

In addition to this, the graphics quality was very good, the cleanliness in the characters, contexts and these together with an original and characteristic sound of the characters. Except for Muriel, who being dubbing, she didn't sound like the old Muriel, however she didn't stop being as sweet and kind as she is seen in the "Courage the Cowardly Dog" series.

What is this Scooby-Doo and Courage Movie about?

Scooby and the boys are attending a case in a bank, when Scooby mysteriously runs away and runs towards Courage's house, located in "Nowhere". None of them know each other, but they immediately become friends, it was the waves of a sound that attracted them. In turn, they stumble upon some giant cicadas, which behave strangely, at which point the gang from the mystery machine arrives and helps them.

From that moment, strange situations arise and both Muriel and the Scooby-Doo boys decide to decipher what happens behind the waves and the cicadas. Although strange things happen there, this has been one of the most mysterious contexts. In the end, it is discovered that the minds behind everything that happened are Katz and Lequac. These were managing the vibrations of a prehistoric meteorite that had fallen under Courage's house, to obtain material goods such as diamonds, gold and cash.

What failed in the plan of Katz and Lequac was that the waves were affecting animals like dogs, so Scooby and Courage were being "musicalized". This fact made the idea of discovering what was really happening grow even more.

The truth is that this film is entertaining and at the same time hooks you with the story. In addition, the homogeneity of graphics, plot and voices that it maintains, placidly immerse you in the memories of the same series, since they maintain the traditional details.

From my side, I give it a 10/10. An epic collaboration worth enjoying with the family, perfect for this Saturday.
