Entre las tendencias en películas, existen las películas de miedo que generan tanto terror que son virales, incluso con videos de espectadores aterrorizados en los mismos cines. Con este título ocurrió algo parecido, salvo que lo que generó fue lágrimas entre los espectadores, por lo dramática y triste que llega en ciertos momentos. Estrenada el 2024, siendo su director Pat Boonnitipat.

Sinopsis: Se nos muestra la historia de un joven llamado M, que tras conocer el caso de su prima, quien heredó la casa de su abuelo paterno luego de cuidarlo en sus últimos meses; decide cuidar a su abuela materna, a quien le diagnosticaron cáncer terminal, esperando lograr repetir el caso.

Synopsis: We are shown the story of a young man named M, who, after learning about the case of his cousin, who inherited his paternal grandfather's house after caring for him in his final months, decides to care for his maternal grandmother, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, hoping to repeat the case.

El comienzo tiene un tono de comedia, con una abuela dudosa de ver a su sobrino dedicado a ella. En lo que avanza la historia vemos como sus otros hijos de la abuela viven, y una que otra rencilla familiar.

The beginning has a comedic tone, with a grandmother who is skeptical of her nephew's devotion to her. As the story progresses, we see how the grandmother's other children live, and the occasional family quarrel.

El drama se va armando de a poco, primero desde la rutina diaria de la abuela, hasta conocer sus relaciones familiares y ciertos aspectos de su vida que irá conociendo su nieto. Esto profundiza en los pesares de la vida de la abuela, y como trata de sobrellevarlos.

The drama builds slowly, first from the grandmother's daily routine, to learning about her family relationships and certain aspects of her life that her grandson will come to know. This delves into the sorrows of the grandmother's life and how she tries to cope with them.

Ya llegado a cierto punto, vemos como el nieto, que si bien intentó sacar provecho de la situación, acaba encariñado a su familiar y comienza a dar importancia a otros aspectos de esta relación. El final es previsible y bien emotivo.

At a certain point, we see how the grandson, who initially tried to take advantage of the situation, ends up becoming fond of his relative and begins to value other aspects of this relationship. The ending is predictable and very emotional.

La película da un mensaje claro, de dar importancia a aspectos menos mundanos en nuestra relación con nuestros familiares, y aprovechar el tiempo, que es escaso.

Por el tema de producción, el detalle de los escenarios mostrados es increíble. Ya desde el entierro de su abuelo, que dura poco tiempo, se le da un cuidado excelente. Esto genera escenarios vivos que transmiten cotidianidad.

In terms of production, the detail of the settings shown is incredible. From the brief funeral scene for his grandfather onwards, excellent care is taken. This creates vivid settings that convey everyday life.

Las actuaciones son buenas, pero no llega a haber una escena exigente en ese aspecto. La música es un apartado poco memorable.

The performances are good, but there are no scenes that are particularly demanding in that regard. The music is not particularly memorable.

En general, es una película con un final previsible que logra transmitir las emociones y el mensaje que quiere dar. Te puede golpear fuerte si tienes o tuviste una abuela muy cercana. Recomendable.

Overall, it is a film with a predictable ending that manages to convey the emotions and message it wants to convey. It can hit you hard if you have or had a grandmother who was very close to you. Recommended.
