A veces pruebo ver dramas asiáticos, pero lo normal es que lo deje tras ver 2 o 3 capítulos. Esta serie me gusto lo suficiente para terminar sus 10 capítulos. Estrenada hace poco en Netflix. Dirigida por Park Dan-hee.

Sometimes I try watching Asian dramas, but I usually give up after two or three episodes. I liked this series enough to finish all ten episodes. It was recently released on Netflix. Directed by Park Dan-hee.

Sinopsis: Han Beom-woo es uno de los herederos de una empresa alimentaria así como el gerente de un restaurante gourmet. Un día, en su búsqueda de recetas(y robarlas) se topa con un pequeño restaurante llamado Jeonju, dirigido por Mo Yeon-joo, una grandiosa chef pero con dificultades en su negocio. Este encuentro, con su respectivo choque de personalidades, cambiará el rumbo de sus vidas

Synopsis: Han Beom-woo is one of the heirs to a food company and the manager of a gourmet restaurant. One day, while searching for recipes (and stealing them), he stumbles upon a small restaurant called Jeonju, run by Mo Yeon-joo, a great chef but struggling in her business. This encounter, with its respective clash of personalities, will change the course of their lives.

La trama no es del todo peculiar pero es su buen trabajo episódico y con su variedad de personajes, logra uno encariñarse con la historia. Veremos el cambio de Han Beom-woo, quien pasará de ser una persona centrada netamente en resultados y la competencia, en prestar atención al “sabor” que se crea en el restaurante. También Mo Yeon-joo irá dejando su cierta personalidad huraña, permitiendo consejos y alianzas.

The plot is not entirely unique, but it is well-crafted episodically and, with its variety of characters, manages to make you grow fond of the story. We see the change in Han Beom-woo, who goes from being a person focused solely on results and competition to paying attention to the “flavor” created in the restaurant. Mo Yeon-joo also begins to shed her somewhat sullen personality, allowing for advice and alliances.

La serie tiene su dosis de giros, pero ninguno que no puedas ver venir. En todo caso, lo que funciona es la divertida dinámica entre los personajes principales y secundarios. Por otro lado, hay una cierta variedad de competencias y retos que el restaurante Jeonju tendrá que pasar.

The series has its share of twists, but none that you can't see coming. In any case, what works is the fun dynamic between the main and secondary characters. On the other hand, there are a variety of competitions and challenges that the Jeonju restaurant will have to go through.

El otro punto fuerte de la serie es la fotografía. Logra sacar la calidez de los paisajes y de acciones humanas de diversos momentos, además de mostrar la comida de manera bastante deliciosa. La música acompaña bien en variedad de momentos. La actuación es buena en especial de los 2 protagonistas, interpretados por Kang Ha-neul y Go Min-si.

Another strong point of the series is the cinematography. It manages to capture the warmth of the landscapes and human actions at various moments, as well as showing the food in a very appetizing way. The music accompanies the variety of moments well. The acting is good, especially from the two main characters, played by Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si.

Sin llegar a tener grandes momentos de profundidad ni con grandes mensajes, la trama construida es interesante y divertida de ver, además de que te abre el apetito.

Without reaching great moments of depth or conveying profound messages, the plot is interesting and fun to watch, as well as whetting your appetite.
