En la vida tenemos situaciones que al elegir una opción o posibilidad, ya no podremos elegir la otra, por las consecuencias que acarrean. En el amor, también pueden darse esas situaciones y así lo vemos en este título. Estrenada el 2023, siendo su directora Céline Song.
In life we have situations that when we choose one option or possibility, we can no longer choose the other, because of the consequences they entail. In love, these situations can also occur and we see it in this title. Released in 2023 and directed by Céline Song.
Sinopsis: Nae Young y Hae Sung son 2 niños coreanos que comparten su infancia y están enamorados, sin embargo, la familia de Nae Young se muda a Canadá, separándolos. Varios años después, Nae ahora conocida como Nora, logra mediante las redes sociales volver a contactar con Hae Sung. Esto los volverá a mantener en contacto y quizás volver a retomar su pasado.
Synopsis: Nae Young and Hae Sung are 2 Korean children who share their childhood and are in love, however, Nae Young's family moves to Canada, separating them. Several years later, Nae now known as Nora, manages through social networks to get back in touch with Hae Sung. This will keep them back in touch and perhaps revisit their past.
La trama muestra como 2 personas muy afines, pero por azares de la vida se encuentran separados. Y si bien, gracias al reencuentro, quieren mantener el contacto, ya el contexto y metas programadas, lo vuelve difícil de lograr.
The plot shows how two people who are very close, but due to the vagaries of life, find themselves separated. And although, thanks to the reunion, they want to keep in touch, the context and programmed goals make it difficult to achieve.
A su vez, según vaya avanzando la trama, veremos un triángulo amoroso que complicará más la situación. Acentuando más que lo que fue la infancia de los protagonistas, fue una vida pasada.
In turn, as the plot progresses, we will see a love triangle that will further complicate the situation. Further emphasizing that what was the childhood of the protagonists, was a past life.
Y si bien mucho de la película trata de “el que hubiera sido”, también nos da espacio para tratar temas como la interculturalidad, la añoranza a tu patria, el tomar decisiones adultas, etc.
And while much of the film is about “what would have been”, it also gives us space to deal with issues such as interculturality, homesickness, making adult decisions, etc.
Tal vez, el no tener mayor trama puede acabar siendo decepcionante, pero el ritmo hace que la película avance sin problemas.
Perhaps, not having a major plot can end up being disappointing, but the pace makes the film move forward smoothly.
La fotografía es inmensa, en especial las que se dan en Nueva York, un buen manejo de luces, símbolos y gestos de los protagonistas, combinada con postales de la ciudad. En la actuación, el papel que más destaca es el de Greta Lee como Nora/Nae. La música acompaña pero no percibo mucha importancia.
The cinematography is immense, especially those set in New York, a good handling of lights, symbols and gestures of the protagonists, combined with postcards of the city. In the acting, the role that stands out the most is Greta Lee's as Nora/Nae. The music accompanies but I don't perceive much importance.
En general, es una película que aborda el romance de una forma seria, que evita crear enemigos o situaciones tóxicas; sino aceptar las decisiones que tomemos tendrán una ganancia y a la vez un coste. Recomendable.
In general, it is a film that approaches romance in a serious way, that avoids creating enemies or toxic situations; but to accept the decisions we make will have a gain and at the same time a cost. Recommended.
